You know there’s mostly sane people out there who collect guns just like some people collect Beanie Babies, Stamps and Cars? The problem isn’t their collection, it’s the lack of effective mental health in this country and supporting legislation.
If one is a collector, its probably better to get an FFL. That way bans and a lot of nonsense doesnt apply the same way. Worth it in the long run.

I think you are discounting the effect of Trump having an entire political party behind his attempts to undermine our democracy.
They have already convinced dumb Americans to take Putin's word over our own intel agencies and distrust our FBI and CIA.
No, I’m not. Again, people are free to fear-monger away just like they did under Bush and Obama, but the fact remains our government is very robust and structured in such a way to prevent a dictator. It’s one reason why Congress is so inefficient: The Founders designed it that way.

Lack of mental health combined with easy access to arsenals of weapons, what could go wrong, right? Nothing is being done about either condition...so ..thoughts and prayers, motherfuckers, see you on the other side...

Why? I have over 2 dozen guns and about 10,000 rounds of ammo yet the only things I’m dangerous to are hogs, paper targets and anyone who breaks into my house. Why should I go through the hassle of acquiring an FFL?

There’s an old saying about treating the symptoms, not the disease. What you are suggesting is treating the symptom.

Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany. From there he stepped up to fascist dictator.
He was appointed. Not elected. And through typical corrupt governmental actions...he took control. His rise was know different than other third world dictators either. Trump? Trump was democratically elected in the same way as Obama.

•Agreed comparing the dumbass Trump to Hitler is both stupid and wrong. Trump is a wannabe dictator who throws a tantrum whenever he can't be one. Our system of government is structured in such a way as to avoid such an eventuality. Despite all the angst and hair-pulling from the Right about Obama turning the US into a Marxist state, that wasn't going to happen for the same reason: our structure of government won't allow it.
Bingo!

[QUOI also agree that when people sling terms like Hitler, Nazi, fascist, socialist, etc, they are watering down those terms. In effect and in this case, building up Trump to be something he can never be no matter how badly he wants it.
[/QUOTE]

Yea. I honestly don’t even know if that is what he wants. He seems to me like he wanted to increase his fame and name brand recognition and ended up with way more attention and power than he thought. I just don’t see trump wanting the responsibility of power. Just the trappings.

What are you so afraid of?
