GOP Senate candidate Jason Lewis said Republicans have 'dual loyalties' to Israel, 'Jewish lobby' controls the party - CNNPolitics

Lewis, who also argued that the Israel lobby controlled the Republican Party, said in a February 2013 radio show that many in the party viewed the country as the "51st state." He claimed policymakers in President George W. Bush's administration, including former UN Ambassador John Bolton, were dual citizens of Israel and the United States. (Bolton, who was fired last week by President Donald Trump, is neither Jewish, nor is he a citizen of Israel.)

...Lewis also pivoted to criticize Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar saying she has "genuinely anti-Israel views."

"But that's different." LOL.

Clearly, there's plenty of anti-semitism to go around. But you gotta love the new blood libel of "dual citizenship." Great to see we've finally found a ethnic slur that unites members from both parties.

More MAGA.

That's true. But the original is past its expiration date. This is a new and improved slur. It's far more flexible, too. It can even be hurled at non-Jews while keeping the original hate intact.
"Dual loyalty" is not new, against Jews and non-Jews, even though it is one of many favorites aimed at Jews.

"Dual citizenship" can be a legitimate criticism though.

I know back in Russia many rich people buy second citizenship abroad, for investments and such, in various European Union countries, like Malta; and plenty of Jewish oligarchs have Israeli passports also in addition to Russian ones:
Roman Abramovich granted Israeli citizenship
Citizenship for sale: how tycoons can go shopping for a new passport

Last year, for example, there was a big scandal, when it emerged that a prominent personality on Kremlin propaganda TV apparently has British citizenship in addition to Russian lol
Russia propagandist Sergei Brilev is Briton with flat in Chiswick

That kind of shit angers many over there...

US is probably very different in that regard, sure.

Well, it is different. I guess it's some form of insurance policy (for those who could afford it) in Russia. But in the U.S., it's strictly employed as code for "those duplicitous Jews."

Strangely enough, you never hear anyone whining about dual U.S./British citizenship.
