Too bad Bush left Obama with the greatest recession since the Great Depression, isn't it? And that Great Depression, another Republican financial fiasco....
Spin it however you want. The fact is that you are on this forum predicting our financial doom. The numbers aren't showing it.

The Democrats can choose to vote against the tax cuts, in block, if they want. We keep hearing how the deficit is going to go up and choke us to death. Let's look at some real numbers...

National Debt on January 20, 2017 when President Trump took office was $19,947,304,555,212. National Debt on September 11, 2018 was $21,459,790,397,306. That's an increase of $1,512,485,842,094 or +7.6%.

National Debt on January 20, 2009 when President Obama took office was $10,626,877,048,913. National Debt on September 11, 2010 was $13,441,762,397,157. That's an increase of $2,814,885,348,244 or +26.5%.
just wondering if that debt includes the amounts paid back and the profits from business loans. does it?

You are sadly mistaken if you think it is only OldGaffer who is predicting a financial crisis in the future for America. The Congressional Budget Office has warned that the Trump tax cuts are leading America toward another financial crisis:

Trump tax cuts carry a big price tag: Huge debt and risk of another financial crisis, budget office warns

And they're basing that conclusion on, DUH, the NUMBERS.

I hear you. What did the CBO predict for Obamacare? Have they ever been wrong before?

Nor is the CBO the only organization predicting dark times ahead. Whatever else you may think of him, outgoing Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein is one smart cookie.

Lloyd Blankfein: "What could possibly go wrong? I haven't felt this good since 2006!"

Dark humor from Lloyd, there.

The bond market is predicting that the Federal Reserve will start LOWERING interest rates by early 2020. That means the entire bond market is expecting the next recession to hit by early 2020. The Federal Reserve would not start lowering interest rates until the next economic downturn comes along. And with all the debt building up-----Americans are once again on the same sort of spending splurge that we saw in the mid-2000's------the next recession could be a DOOZY, worse than the Great Recession of 2007-2009.

We were not talking about the debt we were talking about the yearly deficit. This is the first time in history that our deficit, for one year, has been over a trillion dollars. we don't need any whataboutisms, stick to the fucking program. That's donald trump and his stupid tax cuts and now the fucking dumbshit wants more?
