A new legal complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission alleges that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee used state chapters as strawmen to circumvent campaign donation limits and laundered the money back to her campaign.

The Committee to Defend the President, a political action committee, filed its complaint with the FEC on Monday with the allegations that the Hillary Victory Fund (HVF) solicited cash from big-name donors, including Calvin Klein and “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane -- money that was allegedly sent through state chapters and back to the DNC before ending up with the Clinton campaign.

Officials with the committee said their filing was spurred by their own analysis of FEC reports, where they said they discovered the HVF either never transferred the money to state chapters and back to the DNC, or did so without the state chapters having actual control.

......

In its complaint, the CDP alleges that about $84 million was funneled illegally from the DNC through state party chapters and back into the war chest of the Clinton campaign.

$84 Million... $84,000,000.....

Why a group and not the media had to find this out is always disturbing to me. We don't have many real "journalists" anymore. Now, who wants to bet this doesn't even show up on the ABC, NBC, CBS News broadcasts? Will CNN even cover it? Will the NY Times or the WaPo report it?

Tracing this money is not even hard. No forensic accountant is needed.

And how would this help to defend the President? Someone else may have committed a totally unrelated crime, so what? Are we to give Trump a break and let him off the hook for his campaign finance violations? Yeah, don’t think so. Send Trump to jail and anyone else you can prove committed a crime. Fuck the Hillary haters if they think we really give a shit if someone in the DNC state chapters goes to jail? LOL.

Yeah let’s take the analysis of the “Committee to Defend the President” with a big grain of salt.

I’ll wait and see what the FEC says.

Hillary will be 6 feet under and the right will still be crying “but Hillarrryyyyy”

Wake me when someone is indicted.

You know, like George Papadopoulos.
Or Michael Flynn.
Or Paul Manafort.
Or Rick Gates.
Or Richard Pinedo.
Or Alex van der Zwaan.
Or the 13 Russian nationals.
Or the three Russian companies.

Here's your confirmation bias at work.

The article you link to describes it as what the group's lawsuit "alleges" to have happened. Your analysis at the end accepts it as what has happened.

You only believe the, at this point, unproven allegations because you want to believe it. You want it to be true so bad that you're willing to sacrifice reason as well as what's left of your credibility.

The lawsuit has been filed now. The truth will come out.

This is what happens when a properly manipulated group of gullible voters start to awaken to the fact that the guy they idolized for prancing around the country leading chants of Lock Her Up! Lock Her Up! Lock Her Up! never had any intention of actually locking her up.

Interesting that the "Committee to Defend the President" thinks their best option isn't to spend their money actually mounting a defense for the president, against the very serious charges facing his administration, but rather to try to go after his former political opponent. I suppose they figure the conservative base is pretty distractable, so as long as they find way to keep Clinton hatred to the forefront of their minds, that will do more to defend the president than the futile effort to justify the actual behavior of his campaign and administration.
