A former Montana Republican Party chairman suggested this week that supporters of President Trump should bring their guns to an upcoming rally with the president in case of violent protests.
Will Deschamps Sr. wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday that some Republicans at the event scheduled for Thursday in Missoula will have guns and “know how to use them.”
“For all the prospective attendees to the Trump event. Come early. Also all you protesters, show up as well. This is a concealed and open carry state and we know how to use em,” Deschamps wrote earlier this week.

Ex-GOP official: Bring guns to Trump's Montana rally in case of violent protesters

it's a pretty clear message (ALL YOU PROTESTERS). Deschamp is calling for shooting protesters. He doesn't say anything about violent protesters. It's "all you protesters". This is the logical progression of the "angry mob" narrative. It's identity politics being used to advocate gun violence against ones political rivals. Last I checked, there aren't any liberal protesters calling on shooting anyone. It's usually only right-wing gun nuts that do that.

If your 2nd sentence in your last paragraph were true, he would be in jail.

Is he in jail?

yeah, except for the fact that it is true and he's not in jail. Just because he's not in jail doesn't make the comment false. What's your interpretation of what he said?
