No they willl not....

Unskilled labor from 'Mexico'....The owner, must...do certain thing before the owner can even fill out a request..
Ownerns MUST attempt to find a worker in the USA first

https://www.foreignlaborcert.doleta.gov/h-2b.cfm#

  • Employer Conducts Pre-Filing Recruitment by:
The owner has to first go to the State's Unemployment Office AKA..*.State Workforce Agency (SWA) and filing a job order for American citized to fill his own jobs. He must do this no more than 120 calendar days prior when the work neds to start...The request will be for a US citizen for job, to the employer's date of need with the serving the area of intended employment.

The job order the Owner makes for unskilled American Citizen at the State Workforce recruters of US citizens
must be open and available for recruitment purposes for a minimum of 10 days. T
AND
  • Publishing two print advertisements for the position(s), one of which must be on a Sunday.
    • Advertisements must be placed during the period of time the job order is active
  • The job order and the print advertising must contain the following information:
    • Employer's name and contact information to allow applications to send resumes;
    • Geographic area of employment to allow applicants to be aware of travel requirements and where applicant will likely have to reside to perform the services or labor;
    • If transportation to the worksite is provided by the employer, the advertising must say so;
    • Description of the job opportunity including the job duties to apprise applicants of services or labor to be performed and the duration of the job opportunity;
    • Work hours and days, expected start and end dates of employment, and whether or not overtime will be available
    • Wage offer or offers in the event of multiple wage offers;
    • That the position is temporary, and the total number of job openings the employer intends to fill
*Yes the State Workforce Agency (SWA) is in the us...It is a State department 'employment or recurting division.
They take 'orders' (I'll need 30 men on October 1) When he does this he has to also do other things.

ONLY WHEN NO US CITIZEN APPLIES FOR HIS OPENING IS HE ALLOWED TO FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK FOR AN H2B WORKER.

Typical day for an unskilled Mexican worker. They look like they have done this before...and they have from 6am to 8pm every day

If every farm in the US donated one of their sons, the US farm owner who is short of help would be in good shape to hire US workers, They have worked on a farm...they know if a tool breaks how to mikey mouse it to keep going... the job. They know .... because working on dad's farm gave him the endurace this job needs.

An American?...:lol: After half a day they would have a kink in their neck and need to go home or they would have a back ache and not show up the next day because the guy is at the Doctors fill out a disability claim!.

If the farmer HAD found a US citizen - He would not need an H2B person who has lived on the land since birth.

The US governmet allowes 66,000 foreign workers in, BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIND THE WORKERS. Remember the farmer went to the state to get workers....he can't fib he did it if he did not..., because it was passed over to the State employee to physically put the order on Job Openings!.

It's not a lazy thing...it is most US citizens have no idea how to do the work...and they are not TUFF enough to last more than a short time. And it temporary

I know how you guys have been taught to think. That US citizen would rather sit on their butts than do work...Yah...this guy could work....but he living off me. ..He is lazy and I'm sure he get government benefits.

We weren't raised in the same way as these worker to make a good farmer.

No...he can't do the work..

Do you know that that entails? "attempt to find an american worker"?

A help wanted sign in the window for a week. a job add placed in a town paper that no one reads.

Thats it.

This is one local to my area of the Chesapeake Bay. The crab industry every year would acquire Visas for immigrant workers to come and pick crabs but this year it was curtailed by a fucking stupid lottery process. Crab houses apply and get visas based on a lottery system, you don't get selected, you don't get any workers. Since no Americans are going to stand picking crabs all day and the industry doesn't have the workers to do the job, many are going broke and the cost of crabmeat has gone through the roof. The crab houses that do get selected for visas can get by and those who don't are simply fucked. The cost of a pound of crab meat that was typically about $20 has gone to as much as $55 so if you happen to like crab imperial on your salad and it's now $20 for your salad, blame the half-wit dumbshit that is in the whitehouse.

For the bigots who say "I don't give a shit about crab meat, fuck them" then fine, you can help with the welfare to support those screwed. This is also not to mention countless other industries facing the same dilemma.

Lindy’s is getting by with about 20 local workers, many of whom are putting in overtime to help increase production, and Vincent called in a temp agency that recently provided two more laborers. But the company would be much busier if it had been awarded the 100 visas it requested.

“It just means we’re going to have to struggle to try to do what we’ve been doing for the past 20-plus years,” Vincent said. “Maybe the program will be fixed for next year. And hopefully we’ll never have to go through this again.”

Jeremy, The salaries that are paid for unskilled labor is miniumum wage...and it is not enough to pay for an apartment. That is why H-2B works. the salary is lower than miium wage for the employer, and the foreign worker has his travel, lodging and W.C.'s provided to him.

Maryland (Lobster state) minimum wage is $10.10 an hour...these are not 8 hour days. These are you basic sun up to sun down labor.

A 10 hour day would be $101. a day - that is the cheapest a US employer in Maryland can pay a US citizen.

2017 - H-2B crab pickers are so important to the Maryland seafood industry that they get paid $3 less per hour than the state or local average...(average worker? or miniumun wage, less $3.00 ?)

WAMU suggests that the reason employers hire H-2B workers to pick crab is because they’re so fast at what they do.
-----------

1. Labor for farms start very early, and end very late in the day. If you had to employee a US citize ... their pay is minimun wage, is someone who still lives at home and does't pay rent, and mom still does the cooking and laundry.

2. The people who come from the H-2B program won't be looking for an apartment - The owner who employs them provide lodging , cooking facilities and a place to cook food.

3. It's not unreasonable to accept the wage isn't enough for a US citizen to live on
Sanctuary Cities fall into the same situation, why they don't hire US citizens, they have to pay US citizens minium wage in CA is$15.00 and hour...and the worker can't even live in San Francisco on that wage. If you're option to take that job means you live in a flop house, Americans won't do it...But illegals will...and H2B workers don't even have to worry about housing.....

======================

Real shame the H-2B programs is not looked at more logically.

Every thing with the H-2B worker is legal - set up to get them here and the same person who got them here, are responsible to make sure they get back. Win win both parties.

I'm sorry Prez Trump added a cap...just when the US farm people and such seems to have accept using them uder the HB2 program..

California minimum wage 2018
On January 1, 2018, the minimum wage increased to $11 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees and $10.50 per hour for employees with 25 or fewer employees.

Harvesting crops actually takes skill and experience. It's not something you can just walk into and do straight away. Yes, Americans could be trained to do the work well enough to become profitable, but it takes time and crops don't wait around until you learn how to pick them.

Most of these jobs are in seaside and resort towns. Check out girls, maids, landscapers, the notion that harvesting blueberries is a skilled labor is funny stuff. I'm not sure of your point or what point you think I made that you are arguing against.
