Rand Paul threatens fellow Republicans with explosive witness votes
Sen. Rand Paul is waging a fierce campaign to prevent the Senate from hearing witnesses in Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, vowing to force tough votes on his fellow Republicans if they break with the president or back Democrats' demands for new evidence.

Who are the 7 impeachment managers selected for the Senate trial of President Donald Trump?

Nancy Pelosi: What Kind of Sick S--t Do the Russians Have on Mitch McConnell?
On Tuesday, nearly a month after the House of Representatives officially voted to impeach Donald Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the House would vote Wednesday to send its impeachment charges to the Senate, kicking off a process that will likely result in a trial starting next week. “The American people deserve the truth, and the Constitution demands a trial,” Pelosi said in a statement. “The House will now proceed with a vote on transmitting the articles of impeachment and naming impeachment managers on Wednesday, January 15.” Referencing the fact that Senate Republicans like Mitch McConnell have refused to hear new, relevant information concerning the president’s attempt to extort Ukraine for his personal benefit, Pelosi noted that “the American people will fully understand the Senate’s move to begin the trial without witnesses and documents as a pure political cover-up. Leader McConnell and the president are afraid of more facts coming to light.” And that represented the high point of her comments about the senator from Kentucky.

The attempts of the left to criminalize appropriate and even routine actions of any President, this one included, should and must fail.

All you have is animus toward the voters who elected him. They chose an unconventional, playful, confrontational man and knew what they were doing when they chose him.

The President is a businessman who has every right to protect the taxpayers and voters from corruption, waste and abuse of resources. That should and must include the Bidens.

Asking for help in these matters is no crime .

Impeached Trump did the exact opposite. You should pay attention.

What Trump has been doing is not routine for presidents. What he wanted from Ukraine was for his own benefit. Donald Trump is corruption personified. The worst Hunter Biden is guilty of is using his father's name to get a cushy position. Joe Biden had nothing to do with Hunter getting that job. He fired a prosecutor who wasn't prosecuting corruption and probably bribing people so he'd look the other way.

It is a joke to suggest Trump is going after corruption.

Earlier this week, President Trump cited concerns about corruption as his rationale for blocking security assistance to Ukraine. But in a letter sent to four congressional committees in May of this year and obtained by NPR, Undersecretary of Defense for Policy John Rood informed lawmakers that he "certified that the Government of Ukraine has taken substantial actions to make defense institutional reforms for the purposes of decreasing corruption [and] increasing accountability."

If he disagreed with that assessment he should have said so publicly and explained why he disagreed. Instead, he had his personal attorney and some crooks surreptitiously pressure Ukraine into announcing an investigation into the Bidens and it seems they were working to get rid of the American ambassador who really is interested in and has been working to get rid of the corruption in Ukraine. It seems they were surveilling her.

But it's a string of WhatsApp messages from late March 2019 taken from Parnas' phone that is drawing the most scrutiny. In those texts, Parnas and an associate named Robert F. Hyde, a retired Marine who is running for Congress as a Republican in Connecticut, criticize Yovanovitch, who was still a U.S. ambassador at the time.

"Wow. Can't believe Trumo [sic] hasn't fired this bitch. I'll get right in that," Hyde wrote in an encrypted message to Parnas. He added, "She under heavy protection outside Kiev."

The messages also seem to indicate that Hyde might have been involved in monitoring Yovanovitch and her movements.

"They are moving her tomorrow," Hyde later wrote, quickly followed by, "The guys over they asked me what I would like to do and what is in it for them."

Hyde said Yovanovitch had turned off her phone and computer, and that his associates in Ukraine would give updates on the ambassador's movements. He added, "They are willing to help if we/you would like a price ... Guess you can do anything in the Ukraine with money ... what I was told."

And why did someone from the State Department call her in the early morning hours and tell her to take the next plane out of Ukraine?

If there were legitimate reasons for Trump to question the Defense Department's assessment of Ukraine's efforts to fight corruption and legitimate reasons for Trump to want Yovanovitch out why didn't he just come out and explain himself? Why did he use private citizens to carry out his official US foreign policy behind everyone's back? You cannot possibly be so blinded that you see this as routine.

Requesting a foreign government assist him in getting re-elected is neither appropriate nor routine.
[Trump voters] chose an unconventional, playful, confrontational man and knew what they were doing when they chose him.
"Playful"? Really?
The President is a businessman who has every right to protect the taxpayers and voters from corruption, waste and abuse of resources.
And who protects the taxpayers and voters from Trump and his corruption, waste and abuse?

He didn't.

In fact, it is fairly easy to see that the Bidens were corrupt and that Trump could just as easily been cornered with clearing his name as worrying about the election.

Biden was part of the government shortly before the Fisa courts were being lied to by the Obama administration's leftovers.

The only way you can prove that Trump was cornered with the 2020 election is to ignore what he actually said in that July 25 phone call.

He talked about corruption in Ukraine and the 2016 election. He brought up things that had already happened and were mostly public knowledge.

He said nothing about the 2020 election.

Glad you can read minds though.

What specifically corrupt activity did the Bidens engage in in relation to Ukraine? If it's so obvious name the crime they committed.

WTF does the FISA court have to do with Ukraine and Biden working to reduce corruption there along with the IMF and the EU? Are the IMF and EU in cahoots with the Bidens? They would have to be for your silly conspiracy theory to be true.

If you believe that is an actual transcript of that call I have a bridge to sell you.

Knowing Trump was trying to get Ukraine to investigate the Bidens for his own gain isn't simply based on that phone call and it isn't a matter of reading minds. it' a matter of looking at all of the evidence gathered in relation to Trump's months long campaign to get them to investigate the Bidens.

But Impeached Trump did and I have an unimpeachable source to prove it. The summary of the July 25th phone call.
