In contrast to what?
This seems to what you and the BILLIONAIRE Trump have wanted all along. Less for others, MORE for the greedy wealthy.
In small and large cities alike, firefighters have gone from heroes to budget bait.

Fires have grown larger, more intense and unpredictable. But federal research that helps prevent and respond to them is on the chopping block.

One year after President Trump and congressional Republicans enacted their tax cut for the wealthy and large corporations, none of their promised results are happening. On February 27, the Committee will hear testimony from four expert witnesses on the real-world implications of the GOP tax cut.

As the rich have gotten richer, U.S. tax policy became more regressive.

Since 2000, Congress has passed several rounds of tax cuts that have increased the federal deficit by nearly $6 trillion and disproportionately benefited the top 20 percent of households, which received nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of the value of all tax changes.

The reason communism failed in the U.S.S.R. is because the idea of a classless society never worked and it never worked because there always had to be a class of people who enforce all the things that would make it classless. If a society is intended to have no different classes, it can't start out with two classes of people, the enforced and the enforcers. That set up immediately exacerbated what already happens in a societies where unbridled capitalism has everyone, especially the greed, ripping off their fellow human beings in any way they can, capitalizing on the ignorance of some, the guillability of others and even those who are greedy, like themselves, because the greedy will buy into anything that looks like it a profit to them (a large reason some have voted for Trump). Scandanavian nations have elements of both capitalism and socialism. There are still companies and people who profit and can become wealthy, but "the people" (their governments) also recognized places where "the people" can benefit better from things done by public contribution than depending on individuals to all do the right thing, when left to their own devices.
No matter what nation and what society, over time there will be changes and shifts in all kinds of things that will precipitate the need for change, from adjustments to a full change of direction.
As the former U.S.S.R. the enforcement class became ripe for corruption and taking bribes to "look the other way" from the rules, were part of what led to the downfall of the Soviet Union. Now, oligarchs continue the corruption and further divide Russia into something closer to what we have been heading toward. The haves and the have nots, with too many of the haves, being greedy and gluttonous, which also helps to made the rift between the haves and the have nots, even larger.
If it weren't for some of those who honestly make their fortunes and pass most of their excess along to those in need, we would be worse off than we are now with regard to a shrinking middle class and a growing lower class with a small percentage of the population possessing most of the wealth.
