Islamic hate crime, or white nationalist hate crime?

The guy is mentally ill for sure...but the ideologies of a Islamic violent act and a White Supremacy violent act is basically the same. Both feel, they are superior to the ones they kill.
I don't care if he is "Mentally Ill" or not. He took a life. Deserves the needle.

If a person is truly mentally ill, and there is a causational nexus between the mental illness and the killing, then he could very well not be responsible for his actions on account of the mental illness. In that case, he does not "deserve the needle." We reserve that for evil people, not ill people.
