Job openings...Jobs filled...BY FOREIGN CHINA AND INDIA WORKERS!

By H-1B Visas...from India and China -

They are cheap compared to the US worker who wants the job, and won't get it

============
Trump promises changes to H-1B visas
(a lot of IT programmers in the US are denied jobs due to corporate want cheaper foreign workers),
including potential citizenship* (??)
Jan 11, 2019

The H-1B program grants temporary visas to highly educated immigrants who work in high education fields (IT, Technology, Medicine - etc)
=================

*THE H-1B visa has ALWAYS HAD A 'FAST TRACK TO CITIZENSHIP -

I don't know what Trump will change, but he just didn't think of it. Right now (before Trump makes it easier to get workers from India and China) after 6 years being in the US under the H-1B, the person can apply/petition for a green card, which is a pathway to citizenship..

1. You cannot get an H1B without a US job offer.

2. We meet the quota of 65,000 plus 20,000 foreign workers, this year alone. (after 4 days with the 65,000) Because a US Corporation offered A FOREIGNER a job.

From H1B Status to Green Card Status

You can go from H1B status to Legal Permanent Residence (green card holder) in the US. Though this is not possible with every type of non-immigrant visa, the H1B visa is a “dual intent visa.”

You can pursue permanent residence while in the US in H1B status. You can get a green card through family or through employer sponsorship.

1. H-1B visa cap was met in 2018 with 65,000 foreign applicants

2. Once the cap is met, the foreign applicant has ANOTHER CHANCE to patition for US employment - which lets in another 20,000

President Donald Trump is directing federal agencies to review a H-1B visa program used by companies to hire high-skilled foreign workers in the U.S

Trump: H-1B visas ..should be given to [the] most skilled ...applicants, and they should never, ever be used to replace Americans.”

One year, 10 months later:

So, he is 'going to look at this again - Jan 2019 - Trump never lowered the cap, never put in any revision to the visa that the corporations love...foreign cheap labor - even on our soil

Many U S companies depend on this visa to hire
10 of thousands of people from

India and China

(U S corporations hire them because 3rd world countries work for less.)

India Graduates Millions, But Too Few Are Fit to Hire”

In India, the story of untalented college graduates demonstrates an attempt to claim - by statistics of grads - an above average Nation.

The Wall Street Journal ran an article entitled “India Graduates Millions, But Too Few Are Fit to Hire”

Do you think these foreign colleges (which lets foreign worker come here on H-1B are the same quality and learning standards as the colleges in countries like the USA and UK? So the best is skipped and given to inept cheap folks with a BA in their hand...from India

Corporations don't care it puts an American out of a job...they just don't care.

NICE TO SEE THE MORE JOBS...BUT WHO WILL CORPORATE AMERICA HIRE? HISTORY IS NOT WITH THE AMERICAN WORKER.

Health care led the way in new jobs, adding 50,000 for the month thanks to 38,000 new positions in ambulatory services and 7,000 more in hospitals. The industry saw a boom of 346,000 for the year, compared with a 284,000 gain the year before.
Restaurants and bars added 41,000 to the close the year with a 235,000 gain, down from 261,000 in 2017.
Construction also was one of the big gainers despite a slumping housing market. The industry added 38,000 jobs in December, bringing the annual total to 280,000, a 12 percent gain from 2017's 250,000.
Manufacturing also tuned in a solid 32,000 gain for the month, with the bulk of the growth coming from the 19,000 positions added in the key durable goods sector. The sector also saw a surge in 2018, with the 284,000 new positions representing a 37 percent rise from the previous year.
Another closely watched sector, retail, posted growth of 24,000 thanks to a holiday season boost. For the year, retail added 92,000, reversing the loss of 29,000 in 2017.
Government jobs saw a gain of 11,000.
Previous months also saw positive revisions, adding to the upbeat tone for the year. November saw its disappointing 155,000 original report revised up to 176,000, while October's count went from 237,000 to 274,000, for a net gain of 58,000 from the previous tallies.

Seems to me I did misspeak. But with unemployment rate rising, it's not that good of an economy. With fewer Americans getting an education to fill most of the professional jobs, they go to foreign workers.

What Are H-1B Visas, and Do They Hurt American Workers?

8 Million People Are Working Illegally in the U.S. Here’s Why That’s Unlikely to Change.

Hiring illegals won't change.
Actually the unemployment going up even with 300k new jobs is actually a good thing.
