Joe Biden is a self-described 'gaffe machine.' So far, Democratic voters don't seem to mind.

Facing scrutiny for a recent string of gaffes on the campaign trail, former Vice President Joe Biden has been unapologetic in defending his propensity to show some latitude with his language: His slip ups, he says, are innocuous mistakes that simply don’t matter.

It’s an argument that seems to be good enough for voters, at least for the time being.

He’s maintained solid leads in nearly every early voting state and national poll of likely Democratic voters since entering the race, suggesting his rhetorical fumbles aren’t a significant issue with a Democratic electorate that appears to have taken to his argument that he’s best suited to beat President Trump.Joe Biden is a self-described 'gaffe machine.' this article is waaay too polite. It's more accurate to say voters don't give a fuck. Every election the media tries to assert themselves into the process . All they care about are ratings . That's how we got trump. Because of shows like Morning Joe letting him call in and dominate their narrative . And every other network giving him billions of dollars of free publicity .

They were all too happy to assist Russian interference with our elections by gleefully broadcasting illegally obtained leaked HRC campaign information. They created the trump rise in popularity . Just as they created his cult like following . Well now it appears the moral arc of the political universe is responding in kind - with Joe Biden. Trump supporters don't care about his lies . Now comes a candidate that voters could care les about his gaffes .

Perfect symmetry.

Hard to believe Biden is the best the Democrats can find, but yeah. He has a reputation going back decades for faux pax.

"Biden is the best"?

What other "decent" options do they have?

and Trump wasn't even close to being the best Republican's had to offer. Our political system is broken. Biden isn't my first choice. But, any candidate would be preferable to Trump.
