Why do you bring up people who have nothing to do with the actual topic all the time?

Last time I check Avenatti never held elective office -while Duncan is a rep from a district near mine.

He is scum. Not only about the money, but the multiple affairs he had with other women, including lobbyists

No wonder his wife turned on him.
Did you feel this way about Bill Clinton?

I'm sure she has no problens with all the money Chucky Schumer took from any number of sleazes including Epstein. Now when the NY Post did a story about it little Chucky says he will donate equal amounts that he got from Epstein to charity. Right, except Epstein was a convicted perv, a known trafficker, a decade ago and Chucky did nothing. And Chucky is Senate minority leader.

Chuck is returning the money, even though that account is closed.

Michael Avenatti is a lawyer.
Duncan Hunter is the current Republican Congressman from California's 50th district.
He was re-elected last November, despite being under indictment at the time for campaign fraud. He is accused of illegally diverting $250,000. in campaign contributions for personal expenses, including family vacations, dental bills, extramarital affairs with lobbyists, a plane ticket for his kids' pet bunny, and expensive golf clothes (which he tried to pass off as donations to veterans.)
Republican voters elected him anyway, because they apparently have no problem with crooked weasels as long as they have an (R) next to their name.
The same reason Democratic voters sometimes elect crooked weasels as long as they have a (D) next to their name.

That happens on both sides, don't ya know...

Makes you wonder why Bill Clintons wife never turned on him, don't it?

Publicly, anyway.

Last time I checked a few months ago Michael Avenatti was being talked about as a possible 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.

Don't you remember little Brian Stelter, the CNN talking head, who was all excited about his chances.

The porn lawyer was on CNN well over 100 times, back in his heyday.

So, just to compare, I never heard of Hunter being considered as a possible Republican presidential candidate.

I guess one could surmise that Avenatti was closer to becoming president than Hunter ever was.

nymag.com has an article "The case for Michael Avenatti 2020. (Yes, it's true!)

But, lately I think public sentiment has shifted away from BOTH of them...

When is the last time Democrats elected someone who was currently under indictment?

Election day 2018:
Duncan Hunter (R CA-50) re-elected while under indictment for campaign fraud.
Chris Collins (R NY-27) re-elected while under indictment for insider trading
Ken Paxton (R), Texas Attorney General, re-elected while awaiting trial on 3 felony charges of securities fraud.

Bonus: Nevada Republicans elected a whorehouse owner to the state assembly 3 weeks after he dropped dead from a heart attack.
