Oh, look who is facing budget issues for cutting taxes for the rich and small businesses. NO great job increase

And when budget is up, guess what he did? In typical Republican fashion, cut education.

Republicans are assholes, trickle down doesn't work

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/in-kansas-gov-brownbacks-reelection-race-is-case-study-in-republican-party-shift/2014/07/30/3192d86c-1420-11e4-8936-26932bcfd6ed_story.html

Advised by Arthur Laffer, the father of supply-side economics, and supported by special interest groups backed by conservative billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, he pushed through legislation that cut taxes and spending, eliminated state jobs and denied far more applications for welfare assistance — not to mention that he tightened abortion regulations and loosened gun rules.

Brownback promised that the efforts would drive economic growth, create jobs and stabilize the Kansas budget. But the state is now reporting a more than $300 million revenue shortfall. The poverty rate increased. The state’s economy expanded a total of 2.3 percent in inflation-adjusted terms over the past two years, half the rate of its four neighbors. And Kansas’s credit rating has been downgraded.
And you people want to continue this proven failure of policy? We have seen it on the national scale, and Kansas is yet another example.

This is what these assholes want for the rest of the country. Kansas proves that it doesn't work. Why would we want even MORE of that? I'd almost feel sorry for Kansans, but they are the ones who elected that dickhead, Brownback.

As if they didn't see that was a failure after Bush destroyed the surplus and the economy. And congress has done shit to fix it.

There are several other Republican states that followed that same blueprint for disaster.
Then we have a blue state, Illinois, that for so long just kept running up the deficit. But their corporate taxes are lower than neighboring states Indiana and Wisconsin, even though you hear people complain about how taxes are higher for businesses in Illinois, which isn't true) and that money would make a huge impact on the budget in the state.

Now there is a Republican governor holding the state budget hostage to try and get his so called "pro-business" and anti union and education policies in. NO budget in 8 months, what a disgrace. Wracking up even more debt, programs to the poor and disadvantaged are the first things to go, no raises for any state employees, and if this continues, then the universities will have to shut down for lack of fudning.

And what is the things they want to target to cut spending? Education, of course. They don't want educated people, then their scam would be outed and they wouldn't have their voting base.

The state is losing workers, the university is losing faculty. This guy is a true asshole. And guess what? He is an ex-CEO billionaire with no political experience. Sound familiar?

Massachusetts is heading down that road and New Hampshire wont be far behind. We just voted to cut teachers pay by a third and let go a bunch of police. Nobody cares when its time to elect aldermen, board of education and such so they get away with it. We had a "big" election last year to elect a whole new board of education and less than 3% of the electorate bothered to vote. Shameful, we get the govt we deserve.
