The world for a couple of reasons.



1. We are the melting pot of the world.

2. What we do in America affects the world.

Well you know, we are working on a moon colony...



Anyway... I am not sure what the poll is trying to uncover. Is it suggesting that we are currently colonists? Is it suggesting that we do not respect the national identity of the other nations of the world?

In some respects we are colonists, because we are trying to bring 'democracy' to places that it wasn't there before. So maybe its about colonizing our ideals rather than physically transporting our people to and fro...but I do think that michaelr would disagree with you.

What about military bases, embassies, oil rigs, navy ships, citizens living abroad, citizens living in canada, business interests in other countries, dual citizens, etc?

a gated community, with a dilligent sentry, a neighborhood watch, and a fiscally responsible treasurer to handle the

infrastucture concerns of the 'hood....



pipe dream...but we're speaking hypothetically, right?
