By all means ....

See Wikipedia .....

That's a legit source.
Actually, it is. It may not get everything right all the time ... but it is far, far better than the bigoted and ridiculous extremist sites some of you righties like to post. But furthermore, Wikipedia is the source JJF used - which source stated something entirely different than he claimed it did (though he reposted it later and still did not understand what it said).

If there is a principle in Islam that permits lying to "advance the cause," taqiya is not it.

I prefer the quran over Wikipedia.

Search for the irony. You decide I am a redneck why?

I see you opt for the personal attack route rather than address the reality of the Islamic policy of lying in the interest of Islam. You took the cowards route.
Bro, you can't even properly spell the name of their prophet, yet trying to talk about the religion like some sort of expert. You sound stupid, you do get that?

Ok, you want to talk about "taqiya"?

Mohammed came up with that when he was still in Mecca; when he and his followers were low in numbers still, when they did not have the strength to fight against their opponents, who outnumbered them greatly. So, instead, they concealed themselves. Until they were able to form an army in Medina and the rest is history.

WTF does that have to do with Linda Sarsour or any other Muslim person in the West TODAY, many centuries later? Nothing. Not one fucking thing, except in your deluded mind...

You could educate yourself and read the Koran. Wiki did not just make the shit up.

You are right that Wikipedia did not just make anything up. It also does not say that taqiya is about lying to advance the cause. Show where the Qu'ran says that it is - or names the appropriate principle.

I see you are still triggered and going with the personal attacks (typical internet lib). I did not care enough to spell the murderer and pedophiles name properly. As for "religious expert" I laugh, you liberals present as Biblical scholars, every day.

Taqiyya: Deception and Lying in Islam
Deception, Lying
and Taqiyya

Does Islam permit Muslims to lie?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences" or "gain the upper-hand over an enemy"
There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
