Istanbul NOT Constantinople...
Former press secretary Josh Earnest told ABC: "This may come as a surprise to the current occupant of the Oval Office, but the president of the United States does not have the authority to unilaterally order the wiretapping of an American citizen.

"If the FBI decided to use their wiretapping authority in the context of the counterintelligence or criminal investigation, it would require FBI investigators, officials at the Department of Justice going to a federal judge and making a case, and demonstrating probable cause to use that authority to conduct the investigation. That is a fact."

Then explain the Inspector General report on this matter

A hotly anticipated inspector general report about then-FBI Director James Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation is finally complete. It was released publicly Thursday afternoon — and is guaranteed to become a lightning rod in President Trump’s clashes with his own Justice Department.

The report contradicts President Trump’s often-expressed belief that the investigation was rigged to get Clinton off the hook. Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz found little affirmative evidence on the whole that political bias affected officials’ handling of the probe itself. (You can read the full text at this link.)

Indeed, FBI director Christopher Wray — appointed by Trump to replace Comey last year — said at a Thursday afternoon press conference that “this report did not find any evidence of political bias or improper considerations actually impacting the investigation under review.

The long-awaited inspector general report on the FBI, Comey, Clinton, and 2016, explained
Wasn't that the same report that said EXACTLY the opposite, except for a caveats statement that allowed that sentence to be interpreted as opposite?

Oh ya, that's right, your entire version of events is off a singular sentence in a book that said the opposite.

I know, seriously..

What caused the Mueller investigation?

He fired Comey[/QUOTE]

Yup, and Comey was fired because for a start the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein recommended Comey's termination because, "over the past year ... the FBI's reputation and credibility have suffered substantial damage, and it has affected the entire Department of Justice".

Then he fucked up the Clinton email investigation. We all know that corrupt bitch should have been jailed.

Comey broke FBI traditions and Trump disliked him and was embarrassed by him.

So Trump fired him and all the lefties started screaming Russia. But as you, I and everyone knows, no collusion whatsoever took place, but try telling that to the lefties and their agenda.
