Yes, being an idiot really works! Just ask Katy Abram, who was interviewed yesterday on THREE cable news shows. This somewhat attractive, dumber than a box of rocks housewife is perfectly suited to very short segments about healthcare. Having no intelligent input or valuable opinions whatsoever, she has charmed America with fear and anger such important aspects of the debate such as:

“I know that years down the road, I don’t want my children coming to me and asking me, ‘Mom, why didn’t you do anything? Why do we have to wait in line for, I don’t know, toilet paper or anything?’

With her astounding ability to channel the wishes of the founders and vast knowledge of the Constitooshun, the entire country waits with baited breath for her next appearance and her down home, common sense guidance on subjects like war:

And, you know, I really didn't start even watching the news at all, I think, until maybe 1991, I guess it was, when we first went to the Gulf War. I remember watching CNN with my dad and watching the-the infrared missiles going across that you could see. And I think it-to me-maybe I'm just not that smart, but, you know, it seems like we have kind of been at war for-since then. I mean or maybe even before. I don't know. It just always seems like we're-we're having some kind of conflict. So, that-you know, whether-about wars, I don't know. That just seems commonplace now. I think everybody's just so used to it. But you asked why-why-what has woken me up to-why I have woken up to get to this point.

Thank you, Katy, you are a breath of fresh airhead. You really opened my eyes. You should run for office on the "no free toilet paper" platform.

Yeah, it's free. But you have to stand in line for it and it's rationed and it's the scratchy kind.

How long a line? I mean, do I have time to read a book or will it be a quick in and out transaction?

Yeah, the right has NEVER attacked the messenger. Oh wait, they did...they called anyone who opposed the Iraq war a traitor and a terrorist sympathiser.

That when supermarkets offer "buy one, get one free" for toilet paper then it's a sure sign of the apocalypse.
