More nothingburger...

Lynch was irritated, but nothing found...

The infamous meeting, which drove speculation of DOJ bias in the Hillary Clinton email probe, was recounted in excruciating detail in the inspector general report released Thursday, which covered Bill Clinton’s reasoning for making the trip to Lynch’s plane (“I don’t want her to think I’m afraid to shake hands with her because she’s the Attorney General”), and her own recollections of when she realized that the former President was about to overstay his welcome (Clinton moved some of her bags on the plane so he could take a seat.)

DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz found no evidence that the Clinton email probe was discussed. However, he said Lynch made an “error in judgment” in not cutting the conversation short, given its problematic appearance, and that she should have made more of an effort to clear the air publicly.

McCabe cleared...

The Justice Department Inspector General report released Thursday knocked down the Republican talking point that former FBI official Andrew McCabe mishandled a significant conflict of interest during his oversight of the various investigations into Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.

According to the report, McCabe was “not at any time required to recuse” from Clinton-related investigations.

Republicans, including President Trump, have called McCabe’s impartiality into question because his wife, during her failed 2015 state senate run, accepted funds from a political group linked to then-Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton ally.

Trump and his Righties are upset that the IG's conclusion was that no investigation was decided based on political bias.
They are doing Vlad Putin's work for him while protecting Russia from the additional penalties our Congress passed overwhelmingly.

DOJ Watchdog Report Takeaway: FBI Hurt Hillary Clinton, Not Donald Trump
It’s a message that might get lost as Trump and his supporters weaponize a new inspector general’s report.

WASHINGTON ― The Justice Department’s internal watchdog just served up a hefty dose of reality to President Donald Trump and his allies.

On Thursday afternoon, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report 17 months in the making on the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation during the 2016 election.

Amid the unfolding special counsel investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Trump and his supporters have been waging war against the FBI and Justice Department. The new report is sure to give them fresh material.

But one takeaway from the document stands out: Despite Republican suggestions that anti-Trump forces within the FBI worked against Trump, the bureau’s public actions during the campaign hurt Clinton and helped Trump.

Examples of FBI decisions that helped Trump pervade the report. The inspector general criticized then-FBI Director James Comey for his unusual July 2016 news conference in which he faulted Clinton’s “extremely careless” handling of classified information but said no reasonable prosecutor would pursue charges. It questioned Comey’s decision to send two letters to Congress in the final days of the 2016 campaign, setting the media aflame with speculation that Clinton could be indicted. It called him insubordinate. And it revealed that Comey, the man who oversaw the probes into Clinton’s use of private email for government business, used private email for government business. The inspector general found no evidence of political bias in the FBI’s decision to clear Clinton of wrongdoing.

In his recent memoir, Comey wrote that hiding Clinton email news ahead of the election would have made her election “illegitimate.” He conceded that his belief that Clinton was sure to win may have influenced his thinking.

If the “deep state” really was trying to stop Trump’s election, it did a terrible job. Trump was elected president.

Yes, that was the redacted report...

Already am seeing people noting how many inconsistencies there are in the document.

Inconsistencies are not crimes or wrong-doing.

99% of the information in this report was already known.

One could tell how important the release of the report was to the right by all the threads created. One problem. The information in the report did not meet the expectation of the report.

No, the inconsistency is on one page it says crime.

Gross negligence is a crime, btw, and that was mentioned, I saw 3 mentions while skimming in reference to Clinton mishandling classified materials.

That's just one example of what we call a coverup, to say a crime took action but not refer the crime for action?
