I don't know about the value of it, but it seems like he may have some sort of case if they threw away things that were his property. Pretty sad though, that it would come to that.

I wonder how he came up with the $29,000 value. If he was so broke he had to move in with his parents, then maybe he was overspending on porn. It makes sense that he was going through a divorce. Not many women are going to want to stay with a dude who is blowing that much money on porn. I can imagine that she would have probably brought that up every time they got into an argument about money.

He had been married and divorced, so not a youngster. The impression I got was he moved but was still storing some of his belongings with his parents.

That was his property, and they had no right to dispose of it.

My first thought was how much space could this collection have occupied? 10, 15 boxes?

Inconceivable that he never heard of 'public storage'... If he didn't pay the rent they would have sold it. I vote with the parental units. At $29K (gotta laff at that) it must have taken up some room. Was he paying them to store it?
