My top 8 are similar to yours, except that I have reversed Georgia and Oklahoma; and have reversed Florida and Michigan. In both cases, based on recent head-to-head results.

I have Penn State and Wisconsin both ranked above Notre Dame, simply because they looked a lot more impressive to me. I'd love to see Penn State vs Notre Dame on a neutral field right now, and I think that Penn State would win that contest.

Fun FBS factoid I heard while watching college football on Saturday: The Iowa Hawkeyes had 41 interceptions over the 2017 and 2018 seasons. That is number one in the FBS over the last two seasons. A ball-hawking team, the Hawkeyes!

I'm not going to start rearranging deck chairs after watching opening games. Most teams improve greatly between week 1 and week 2.There's no way that Wisconsin is a Top 10 team. Penn State looked impressive, but that's easy when you play an FCS opponent. They don't yet belong in the Top 10 either.

Both Penn State and Wisconsin simply looked BETTER than Notre Dame. Notre Dame actually got a good tussle from a Louisville team that finished 2-10 last year, losing their last 9 games, not winning a single game in their conference, giving up more than 50 points in 7 games, and coming up on the short end of scores like 56-10, 52-10, 77-16, and 66-31.

Just sayin'.

Guess Notre Dame should have played a high school team, so they could "look better" in week one? ;)

Wisconsin did not play a 'high school team' last Saturday. They played on the road at South Florida, in hot and muggy weather, and yet shut South Florida out in a rout, 49-0.

South Florida was CLEARLY better than Louisville last year. They were a bowl team. With a record of 2-10, the Louisville team was not going to be invited to any bowl game, yes?

South Florida lost their final 6 games in 2018:

Houston 57-36
Tulane 41-15
Cincinnati 35-23
Temple 27-17
UCF 38-10
Marshall 38-20

The games that they did win were against piss poor competition. South Florida is a shit team. At least Louisville plays a real schedule, and they looked much improved under their new coaching staff.

Houston, Cincinnati, and Central Florida were all pretty good teams last year. That is NOT a 'shit schedule'. Yes, South Florida DID lose their last six games last year, with that final one being a bowl game. Louisville lost their last NINE games, did not win a single game in their conference, and gave up more than 50 points SEVEN times. Yikes!
