No re-shuffling required this week in my top 10. That said, if we only had a 5 game, rather than a 12 game regular season, all 4 playoff slots would go to the SEC.

I'd have Bama at #1, Georgia at #2, Auburn at #3 and LSU at #4, followed by Ohio State at #5 and Oklahoma at #6. Oklahoma and Ohio State are fairly interchangeable at this point, but Clemson wouldn't make the cut in the top 6 with the record they've established thus far. Their one big win over A&M doesn't look as impressive as it might have, and they almost lost to an unranked opponent yesterday.

But, we do have a 12 game regular season, so everything should work itself out over the next couple of months.

I expect Clemson to fall out of the top spot, for this week, anyway.

Lots of talking heads agree with me...

That wouldn't surprise me, after yesterday's performance. Still, they are the as yet undefeated defending national champions.

Yeah, it's just that most voters will punish them for yesterday.

Too bad they don't have any tough games the rest of the way.

At least not compared to the SEC teams...

LSU and Georgia off yesterday.

Clemson and Alabama off this coming weekend.

Auburn at Florida and Iowa at Michigan are this weeks best.

Mich State at Ohio State and maybe Cal at Oregon look to be good matchups, too....

North Carolina wasn't supposed to be a tough game. They do still have to play Wake Forest.

I don't think they'll take Wake lightly after the Carolina game.

Or, maybe they just aren't as good as last year.

And, some teams play down to their competition.

But even with Wake, that's not comporable to what the SEC teams have left...

The four total touchdowns brings Hurts’ total to 17 through four games in 2019. And while Hurts has 17 touchdowns (12 passing, five rushing), he’s thrown just 19 incompletions all year.

Yes, really. Hurts is 66-of-85 passing for 1,295 yards and he’s also rushed for 443 yards on 47 carries.
Here’s how Mayfield and Murray fared through the first four games of their Heisman-winning seasons:

Mayfield (2017): 76-of-101 passing, 1,329 yards, 13 TDs, 0 Ints, 17 rushing yards

Murray (2018): 60-of-88 passing, 1,028 yards, 11 TDs, 2 Ints, 240 rushing yards
Jalen Hurts' crazy-good start to the season continues in Oklahoma's blowout of Texas Tech

He keeps this up he has a lock..
