Nancy Pelosi asks Capitol Police to 'safeguard' Rep. Ilhan Omar after 'dangerous' Trump tweet

The Capitol Police are being asked to access the dangers posed to a duly elected member of Congress posed by our president. Just let that sink in for a second. Also, let it sink in that the Republican's in Congress are once again allowing this president to engage in what would otherwise be yet another impeachable offense. Nothin but love for Pelosi. But, this is a moment where she needs to reconsider whether the House should commence impeachment hearings on the president. It's not about whether the Republican's will support her efforts any longer. She's saying herself that the president is engaged in behavior that threatens a member of our congress. That calls for the Congress to at least consider whether he's fit to discharge his duties as our president? If Republican's refuse to support protecting one of their own members they should forced to admit that to the American people publicly.
More fake outrage.

Why is it so hard for just all of us (everyone) to agree that threats towards public officials, or anyone else, are not acceptable?

Period.

Rep. Ilhan Omar says she has experienced increase in death threats

Rep. Ilhan Omar says in the days since President Donald Trump tweeted about a speech she gave last month, she has experienced an increase in death threats.

She also alleged that President Trump is encouraging right-wing extremist violence. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders denied earlier Sunday the President was trying to incite violence.

"Since the President's tweet Friday evening, I have experienced an increase in direct threats on my life — many directly referencing or replying to the President's video. I thank the Capitol Police, the FBI, the House Sergeant at Arms, and the Speaker of the House for their attention to these threats," Omar said in a statement released Sunday evening.

Damn.

When someone says something is "dangerous" it means it's a threat!!

Are saying it's not? Really?

Damn!!!
wait, what? Using the word "dangerous" is the same as claiming Trump threatened Rep. Omar? Just stop it. The two words don't necessarily mean the same thing. Besides, if you really want to play that game some of the actual threats reference Trump's tweets. Which means, yes, the tweets are "dangerous". What's next, are you going to include Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album in your defense of Trump? It might mean Michael Jackson hated the president. Can't be too defensive when it comes to Trump. Right?
