I remember this VERY WEIRD STORY. He was rich guy from Chicago area, ardent CONSERVATIVE raised several hundred thousand dollars to go find Clinton emails. He was working with RUSSIANS and Flynn. In fact met with Flynn just before Flynn's infamous dinner with PUTIN in Moscow. The guy later gave an interview with the Wall Street Journal, then put a plastic bag over his head and KILLED HIMSELF, said he had an insurance policy that was expiring and wanted his family to cash it in(?)

From the original article last year.

A Republican donor and operative from Chicago's North Shore who said he had tried to obtain Hillary Clinton's missing emails from Russian hackers killed himself in a Minnesota hotel room days after talking to The Wall Street Journal about his efforts, public records show. In mid-May, in a room at a Rochester hotel used almost exclusively by Mayo Clinicpatients and relatives, Peter W. Smith, 81, left a carefully prepared file of documents, including a statement police called a suicide note in which he said he was in ill health and a life insurance policy was expiring.

Days earlier, the financier from suburban Lake Forest gave an interview to the Journal about his quest, and it began publishing stories about his efforts in late June. The Journal also reported it had seen emails written by Smith showing his team considered retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, then a top adviser to Republican Donald Trump's campaign, an ally. Flynn briefly was President Trump's national security adviser and resigned after it was determined he had failed to disclose contacts with Russia.

A longtime Republican operative who spent the final months of his life seeking out thousands of Hillary Clinton's deleted emails developed a relationship with President Donald Trump's former national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as early as 2015, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

That operative, Peter Smith, told associates during the 2016 presidential campaign that he was using Flynn's connections to help him track down the emails, the paper reported. An investment banker and Republican fundraiser, Smith died in an apparent suicide in 2017.

Flynn pleaded guilty in late 2017 to lying to investigators about contacts he had with Russian government officials, and has been cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller since then. He is due to be sentenced in December.

Mueller, whose office declined to comment, is investigating whether the Trump campaign had improper contacts with the Russians. Trump has denied any wrongdoing, and has repeatedly called the probe a "witch hunt."

The White House and an attorney for Flynn did not respond to a request for comment.

I remember when obama was president and the left constantly accused the right-wing of hatching all sorts of wild conspiracy theories.
Then tsk-tsk’ing and shaking of heads while laughing to yourselves was usually enough to shame people into silence.
Now we have Trump in there and the left has simply lost their collective mind.
Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld now replaced by Trump/Putin... and still not any more convincing.

So WE are soooo CREATIVE that WE created stories of Russian bots, troll farms, Macedonian teenagers writing fanastical stories, thousands of FAKE F. BOOK accounts going back to Russian purchasers (many paid for in rubles), off shore accounts with Russian monies buying US properties by 'straw men' in Trump Tower and Palm Beach, Russian bank computers accessing TRUMP ORG servers in Trump Tower, Russian lawyers meeting Trump kids in Trump Tower 1 floor fown from their daddy, Russian oligarchs planes showing up at campaign stops in places like SC and KS, Russian oligarchs yachts showing up next to MarALago, Russian oligarchs and well connected REPs showing up on the same remote islands where money laundering occurs and having meetings with Russians, Russian informants falling off buildings, poisoned, disappearing. Jesus, this is exhausting!!

And of course WE MADE UP 6 TRUMP OPERATIVES, friends, including a US general and campaign managers who didn't actually go on trial, who didn't plead guilty to numerous charges, who aren't awaiting sentencing or aren't already in jail.

Explain to us HOW this compares to ANYTHING in OBAMA's 8 year history? Anything even remotely parallel in Obama or even HILLARY's history?

Get fucking real!! Quit your false PARITY bullshit. Even YOU don't believe it
