The New York attorney general’s office late on Monday issued subpoenas to Deutsche Bank and Investors Bank for records relating to the financing of four major Trump Organization projects and a failed effort to buy the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League in 2014, according to a person briefed on the subpoenas.

The inquiry opens a new front in the scrutiny of Deutsche Bank, one of the few lenders willing to do business with Donald J. Trump in recent years. The bank is already the subject of two congressional investigations and was examined last year by New York banking regulators, who took no action
.
The new inquiry, by the office of the attorney general, Letitia James, was prompted by the congressional testimony last month of Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer and fixer, the person briefed on the subpoenas said. Mr. Cohen testified under oath that Mr. Trump had inflated his assets in financial statements, and Mr. Cohen provided copies of statements he said had been submitted to Deutsche Bank.

The request to Deutsche Bank sought loan applications, mortgages, lines of credit and other financing transactions in connection with the Trump International Hotel in Washington; the Trump National Doral outside Miami; and the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, the person said.

And yet another investigation - think it's now about 40 different one spread across different entities.

Hard to believe all of them will find him "innocent". There is a reason why most major banks would not touch him.

But of course the NYC AG doesn't really care about the million dollars AOC and her campaign manager funneled off to their LLC from campaign funds.

and let's not forget that the AG of New York is not bound by DOJ policy that say a sitting president can not be indicted.

That needs to be tested in court anyway.

One of many things that need to be revisited since Trump took office.
They are, and Main would intervene if they tried. The memo is based on the Constitution prohibiting a sitting president from being indicted while in office.

Stare prosecutors aren't bound by DOJ policy. And where in the Constitution does it say a sitting president can't be indicted? It's purely a DOJ legal opinion that has never been tested in court. Which , again, state prosecutors are not bound by.

Basically every democratic piece of slime will open an investigation now, I expect it to top 800 soon.

So this isn't news other than the fact that this is how they are wasting tax payer dollars.

You had a full investigation with Mueller, he looked into everything and you all said that was great, he will bring Trump down, but when he didn't now you have to redo his work apparently.

You folks are turning into a laughing stalk of the nation.

But by all means, keep it up.

Launch ten more investigations and tell us how bad Trump is again.
