Four State Department officials resign following investigation of Benghazi killings that found 'grossly inadequate' security at U.S. Consulate - NY Daily News

Four State Department officials resigned Wednesday after an investigation found “grossly inadequate” security at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, where militants killed four Americans in September.

The investigation found that the officials ignored requests from the U.S. Embassy in Libya for more guards at the consulate and other security upgrades.

The inquiry also criticized the State Department for relying on untested local militias to guard the Libyan outpost.

Looks like he really screwed up after all.

Or Hillary did, and they're protecting her for the '16 presidential run.
Do you actually think that the sec of state would be deciding on how many security persons are stationed at any of the multitude of embassies we have? I certainly hope that our sec of state has more important things to do than make such decisions.

I think it was an administration failure, rather than one that can be aimed at one person. Obama is certainly a weak leader, and here it shows because if he didn't make the decision himself, then whoever he had in charge of that decision screwed up. One of the best ways to calibrate someone's leadership abilities is to look how at how effective his subordinates are.

Either way, Obama failed here.

In an active war theater where our policy is regime change? Hell yes! That's her damn job, if she isn't paying attention then who is?

quick, get the noose!!!! Obama made a boo-boo.
Too late. Voters already had their chance to hold him accountable. Too bad the GOP ran a guy who was so out of touch and so ineffective that people chose the guy who screwed up

The interesting thing that might be emerging here, is that everyone's been thinking the circling of the wagons on the part of the administration is all about protecting the President, but maybe it's not, maybe it's about protecting Hillary Clinton instead. Which would have been a very interesting line of inquiry/attack for Romney during that second debate! :glee:
