Again?

What's she got to hide?

First she won't debate after saying they are scared of her...and now this?

I'm outraged! Why does this Dimsocialist think she can take the First Amendment rights of journalists away? What is she hiding?

She's not an experienced campaigner and is following some dreadful advice. Which might be a reason NOT to vote for her until she has a few years' local experience under her belt.

Meanwhile, isn't it great the press will savage ANYONE in American politics who try to limit freedom of the press?

Bottom line is, I think this is naivete, not malice, but it doesn't matter.

Either way, her fitness for office is questionable.

perfectly explained in the article, i know, right wingers don't read more than a line

Campaign spokesman Corbin Trent said the ban was the campaign’s response to an incident last week where Ocasio-Cortez met with healthcare activist Ady Barkan, and the two of them were “mobbed” by journalists despite it being a non-Q&A event. Trent told the Chronicle that the ban should be temporary and the campaign is still interested in maintaining an open relationship with local media.

“We wanted to help create a space where community members felt comfortable and open to express themselves without the distraction of cameras and press.
Actually talking to constituents and hearing their concerns, probably foreign to republicans (actually, their constituents are the ultra rich)

More dumb right wing deflection.

Mrs. Cortez is a fascists authoritarian tramping on the rights of the free press.

This is what a dictatorship looks like. Everyone who supports Cortez is a traitor to this country.
Please. She's allowed to make mistakes as long as she learns from them.

No, sorry. This is not how we expect our politicians to handle boisterous reporters. Wanting to speak to "the community" is no excuse for her excluding the press anymore than it is when Trump does it.

Doesn't really matter, she will get crushed in the election.

She would have lost here if her opponent hadn't taken the win for granted and not campaigned.

She's toast in her first debate because like you said, she has zero experience.

And that's blatantly obvious.

Not only that because plenty of politicians have no experience but this lady is just dumb as a rock when it comes to politics.

She stupidly thought that she could ride some wave of revolt but is now realizing that she is actually expected to do a job.

That includes campaigning, meeting the press, having a platform that you reasonably address to the constituents.

All she has are some grandiose beliefs which was good enough to get her the nomination but not a general.

Hell, I bet that any member of this forum has enough knowledge to beat her if we ran against her.
