Okay Christians, what would you do?

You are the father of a healthy nineteen year old girl. You are a fundamentalist Christian, and have raised your daughter believe as you do.
For the purposes of this discussion it is contemporary America. Your daughter has never been known to lie to you, and she is very active in sports and other physical activities. She has a boyfriend.

Your daughter comes to you and announces she is pregnant. She further declares that she has never had sex. Because she has been active in sports and other physical activities it is not possible for a physical examination to determine whether she is telling the truth about never having had sex.

Do you believe her and declare that a miracle has happened OR do you get a paternity test done as soon as possible?

Neither. I'd consider the possibility of Turner syndrome and elevated gonadotropins.

Weirdo
It'd be easier to conduct a paternity test than to imagine I'm a fundamental Christian.

Neither. You accept that there are things and information beyond your control. You take the tin plated binary thinking hat and give it back to the idiot who posed the question. You then tell your daughter you love her and ask her what her plans for the future are? You build a dialog based in love for her and your desire to honor her standing as an adult. You reinforce the shared faith of your family. You recognize the providence of God in the life of your daughter and let her figure out what happened and what she is going to do about it.
