One year: Anniversary of start of Robert Mueller's probe | News | stltoday.com
For an investigation that's only been going on for a year, it has produced a remarkable amount of evidence supporting very serious allegations, as well as a number of high-level guilty pleas and indictments. I think the contrast with Whitewater is particularly noteworthy, because not only did that drag on for so long without anything interesting to show for it, but it wound up wandering far and wide from its original mandate, in search of something --anything-- to use to embarrass Clinton. An investigation that was nominally about a small-time land deal in 1970s Arkansas somehow culminated with a report that was about a consensual sexual affair in 1990s DC. Starr was so crazed and so devoted to hurting Clinton that he effectively gave up on finding anything related to Whitewater to hold against him, and instead just became a pornography peddler.

.... and still no Trump / Russia Collusion after a year. Nothing. Zero. He's not even a "target".

What we have seen from the Mueller team is mass exposure of career Swamp Creatures that have been fired, demoted, or resigned. I see that part as real positive.

It's time to shut it down, unless we are going to burn more Swamp Creatures out of D.C.

You got it! You know I've seen several professional prosecutors (ex & current) who are AMAZED at what Mueller has done in such a 'short' period of time. AND think of the complexity of the players (even aliases), countries, STAGGERING amounts of money, accounts, private airports, unpunched passports, properties--all over the world.

So we have an NSA advisor texting from the inaugural stage to Russians and the head of the REP presidential campaign--INDICTED. And that was in the what, the first 4 or 5 months? That is JUST STRAIGHT up treason, collusion and corruption!

Think about it, none of the above even includes bimbo eruptions!!!! Well at least TRUMP can breathe a sigh of relief on that one. Mueller may NOT have the authority to look into that. BUT then COHEN might have created an intersection of those 2. Jesus!

I have never seen a witch-hunt tree so many witches as Mueller's has.

Give it up Crusher, even YOU know better. Of course he certainly has the option of letting his KID and KID-in-LAW take the fall.

(PS And I'm still not really sure if the Princess is out of danger here).

Hilarious. We're STILL learning new things about that infamous meeting with the Russians in Trump Tower, where Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort were all hoping to get some 'dirt' on Hillary.

How long did all those BENGHAZI investigations go on for, Crusher? For how many YEARS?

Do you not recognize how it seems like your second and third paragraphs were written by completely different people? The second paragraph makes perfect sense. It is, indeed, a positive thing that Mueller's investigation has already turned up so much serious lawbreaking, helping to clear such corruption out of DC (Manafort, Flynn, and so on). Yet then you push to shut it down. Why? That eagerness to see the end of it makes no sense unless you're afraid of where it may lead.

Look, I could see arguing it's time to shut it down if we were on the kind of path Starr took after the first year of the Whitewater investigation, when it became clear that there'd been no misconduct by the Clintons with regard to that land deal. At that point, Starr began ranging far and wide, looking for anything he could use to embarrass the Clintons, even if it didn't have even a sliver of connection to the nominal topic of his investigation -- the travel office filings, Hillary Clinton's commodities trading, Bill's consensual affairs, etc. But Mueller is no Starr. He's keeping close to the topic of Russian interference in our election. When he stumbles on evidence of unrelated criminal conduct (as with Cohen behavior with regard to Clifford), he simply refers the matter to an appropriate person outside his investigation who can decide whether or not to follow up on it, and Mueller moves forward with the Russia investigation. As long as he's continuing to focus where intended, and so long as we keep getting significant new revelations in that area as a result of the investigation, why would it be time to shut it down? We're talking about a very, very serious matter of a hostile foreign nation subverting a US election. Don't you want to get to the bottom of that? I'm a patriot, so I very much do.

Shh... they won't trust Mueller if you point out that trump is not a target.
