Violating a court order to leave the country is not enough to classify any undocumented person a "criminal".

And whether it is or not, law enforcement activity that results in civil rights violations, injury or death to civilians, unfair arrest and incarceration, etc. SHOULD trouble you enormously.

Even if only because such conduct can be the basis of a lawsuit resulting in millions of damages.

Query: are they seriously going to try to pick up 1 million people? To be processed where? Held where? Deported to where?

Eisenhower did it. It was called 'Operation Wetback'.

Just learned of this. Look at the hideous abuses connected with that program.

And it isn't entirely comparable. All the undocumented people deported were presumed by both Mexico and the U.S. to be Mexican citizens. This is no longer the case.

Something else to read:

A Crime Scene at the Border

We exploited and oppressed the people of El Salvador, then offered them asylum, them revoked it, and now we want to deport them back to their homeland to be killed by government troops armed with guns supplied by the U.S.

At what point is your conscience engaged?

The conscious is engaged, by trimming those abusing those systems you are allowing more room for resources that can be used to help those who more legitimately need that aid.

Exactly... The definition fits pelosi to a T, and doesn't apply to Trump at all.

Illegal aliens who have been given deportation orders have already used up all their rights. What they are after that point are FUGITIVES.
That's just hogwash. They still have rights. Besides, overstaying a visa is not a crime. It is a civil violation. They are not fugitives.

We DESTROYED government in El Salvador and LURED its citizens here with promises of asylum, then broke that promise.

Now we want to deport them back there to be killed by thugs to whom WE GAVE THE GUNS AND TRAINED THEM TO KILL.

The backstory isn't much better for most other Latin American nations.

We broke their countries and turned them into hell on earth. We ENCOURAGED their citizens to flee here.

We should never have exploited them, but we can't change the past. All we can do is behave less like inhuman predators now.
