Not everything involving the federal government in DC revolves around passing new laws, but as the White House announced today, sometimes it requires simply enforcing laws that were already on the books

JUST ANNOUNCED: President @realDonaldTrump will enforce a Clinton-era law to ensure that non-citizens do not abuse our public benefit programs and jeopardize the safety net needed by vulnerable Americans. President Donald J. Trump is Ensuring Non-Citizens Do Not Abuse Our Nation's Public Benefit

Now we can watch liberal heads explode over a law Bill Clinton signed with bi-partisan support.

Cue the lefties saying how this law that one of their own signed shouldn't be enforced.

The famous and popular line that right wingers never tire of repeating: "We love watching Liberals heads explode" as us right wing nut jobs do something so fucking egregious and stupid that it makes the entire world shudder....here, hold my beer...maybe they can bring back some laws from the 19th century, horse whipping and lynching..

Of course, you are going to believe the BS out of the White House?

Immigrants here legally who use public benefits — such as Medicaid, food stamps or housing assistance — could have a tougher time obtaining a green card under a policy change announced Monday that is at the center of the Trump administration’s effort to reduce immigration levels.

The new criteria for “Inadmissibility on Public Charge Grounds,” due to take effect Oct. 15, will set stricter standards for applicants seeking legal permanent residency in the United States, criteria that will skew the process in favor of the highly skilled, high-income immigrants President Trump covets. Since its first days, the Trump administration has been seeking ways to weed out immigrants the president sees as undesirable, including those who might draw on taxpayer-funded benefits.

USCIS approved more than 638,000 green-card applicants in 2018, a five-year high. The State Department issued an additional 533,000 immigration visas last year to applicants abroad, mostly to family members of U.S. citizens and legal residents.

The policy change has been under development for more than a year and drew a record number of public comments — more than 200,000 — during that phase of the federal rulemaking process. Miller grew impatient and blamed former USCIS director L. Francis Cissna for not moving faster to implement it. The White House replaced Cissna with Cuccinelli in June.

Talking about LEGAL immigrants here and has nothing to do with Bill Clinton.

Already a lawsuit filed against this move btw.

I think they say that but what they mean is that liberals wouldn't know how to respond.

As evidenced by your post.

End the freebees and it will put a big dent in illegal immigration.

Liberals shouldn't be bothered by a law that Slick Willie signed since they are always telling us that illegal immigrants don't use the welfare system.

So it shouldn't be a problem

You can almost bet there will be screams of outrage and pulling out chest hairs if that law is actually applied.

They work it a little too hard with the whole Libs are crying nonsense.

I don't know anybody who is crying. The tax cuts might as well have had California's name on it since this high income state has reaped most of the benefits.

In fact, boorish as he is, El Zurulo D'Oro has been very good for California. So we laugh at him as he stumbles haplessly from defeat to defeat; never the hero, always the buffoon.

I suspect that "crying" thing is covering up for what they know in their heart of hearts.

Coastal Elites still see them for what they are.

And it ain't good.

Read the post again. It doesn't say "illegal immigrants." It says "non-citizens." That includes legal residents of the United States who have not obtained citizenship. One of my former co-workers is the daughter of a Vietnam child refugee. Her family struggled for years, and they survived in part thanks to food stamps - which her family received even though they were not U.S. citizens. Now, the daughter is in her twenties. She was born in the United States, and is therefore a U.S. citizen. She's now a highly skilled programmer who specializes in designing and coding neural networks.

Thank god that Trump wasn't around back then to prevent her parents from obtaining benefits.
