if they don't vote to override his veto doesn't that help Trump's chances in court ? It's the method Congress set up themselves. Now, they propose to take the president to court because it didn't turn out the way they hoped it would. How is that any different than what they're claiming Trump is doing? Courts typically don't like to settle political disputes. If Congress doesn't like the powers they gave the president it's not up to the court to fix the law. It's up to them.
Congress must allow Trump to do it or change the law

Hmmm - only 8 votes short of a veto override. But spine is not something you could accuse Senate Republicans of actually having. No biggie - the courts won't put up with this BS. But in the unlikely event they do, we'll look forward to the real emergencies being declared on gun violence and climate change come 2021. ;)

Trump will never figure out things a child should know about, who spends the money in our government. We don't have to worry about him, his own mouth is his worst enemy.

You did not say that when Obama used the same law to give money to foreign countries. You show you do not understand the law Trump is using. Congress passed a law to allow presidents to do that

He is following the law Congress itself passed authorizing his actions.

Trump will veto this bill with Angel Moms present, and Congress will not be able to override it in either the House or the Senate, let alone both chambers.

Figure this out and I know it's hard. Presidents don't spend taxpayer's dollars, Congress does.

Harder and more complicated than you think.

Read through the history and you will find financial implications in many executive orders.

Do you think this action had no costs associated with it? FDR was employing his authority as CIC because he saw the Japanese as a threat.

Any similarity to the current situation is obvious. FDR did this based on his own concerns and fears.

And during World War II, FDR notoriously issued an executive order mandating the internment of Japanese Americans in 1942.
