What a weasel.

'Cause Canadians HATE their healthcare...

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is going to Canada for surgery

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, one of the fiercest political critics of socialized medicine, will travel to Canada later this month to get hernia surgery.

Paul, an ophthalmologist, said the operation is related to an injury in 2017 when his neighbor, Rene Boucher, attacked him while Paul was mowing his lawn. The incident left Kentucky's junior senator with six broken ribs and a bruised lung.

He is scheduled to have the outpatient operation at the Shouldice Hernia Hospital in Thornhill, Ontario during the week of Jan. 21, according to documents from Paul's civil lawsuit against Boucher filed in Warren Circuit Court.

Uhm An American, is not covered by Canadian health care if he elects to have an operation there. It comes out of his pocket. How is he a "Weasel"? He's going to a place that specializes in non-mesh hernia surgery.

He has to write a check.

So then the quality of socialized medicine is not in question.

What then can be the objection?

It's not hard- with a minimum of research to figure this one out...

Rand Paul headed to Canada for outpatient hernia surgery

A spokesperson made it clear that he is traveling to Canada for the operation because it is a renowned hospital for hernia surgeries.

“This is more fake news on a story that has been terribly reported from day one — this is a private, world-renowned hospital separate from any system and people come from around the world to pay cash for their services,” said Kelsey Cooper, a spokeswoman for Paul.

So Canada DOES have good hospitals and treatments. Good to know.

Are you suggesting that in the United States, there are no hospitals that specialize in the sort of surgery Rand Paul requires? That seems very unlikely.

Regardless, I'm sure our neighbors to the north will provide him with excellent, affordable medical care, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

He's a hypocrite. You care? Of course not. There's always a logical explanation that exonerates the right when their demonization of anything socialized (except money for corporations) comes into play.

"It's okay if we're two-faced hypocrites because we never said we wouldn't be."
