Soldier Censored at Kos Convention

PJM LA
August 4, 2007 7:52 AM

video Fireworks broke out at a Friday morning session of the second day of the YearlyKos Convention titled “The Military and Progressives: Are They Really That Different?”. An as yet unidentified uniformed soldier attempted to address the panel on the subject of the “Surge”. He was unceremoniously escorted out by panelist Jon Soltz.

The soldier’s words were either suppressed or inaudible on the convention’s own video. They can be heard here on this exclusive PJM Video by Andrew Marcus, who also interviews the soldier and tries to interview Soltz.

Aren't these KOS groups just Far Left Radical Hate Groups and Bloggers anyway?

I don't know why anyone would waste their time going to one of these conventions or actually taking most of what they say seriously.

Did you guys even watch the video?

The soldier disagrees with you divisive Republicans on this thread, he says Democrats are good people and he's there to unite our country. The issue was whether he is allowed to talk politics while in uniform.

I guess the military decides that on whether he is talking for the war or against. ;)

I did watch it...and you are right. What was he supposed to do start insulting the crowd? No matter what he thinks...he was in uniform in a hostile environment and he was trying to politely share his message. To which the Kosers wouldn't even try to dispute.

No, the military does not decide what politics he talks. The military, for very good reasons, is not political. He is not allowed to speak one way or another as long as he is a soldier.
