As President Obama's Supreme Court nominee comes under heavy fire for allegedly being a "racist," Judge Sonia Sotomayor is listed as a member of the National Council of La Raza, a group that's promoted driver's licenses for illegal aliens, amnesty programs, and no immigration law enforcement by local and state police.

According the American Bar Association, Sotomayor is a member of the NCLR, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S.

Meaning "the Race," La Raza also has connections to groups that advocate the separation of several southwestern states from the rest of America.

Comment: oh great a member of the Mexican KKK being offered a high seat in government....

Okay, it was true in 2000.

In addition to her work on the bench, Judge Sotomayor is an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law and a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Association of Judges of Hispanic Heritage, and the National Council of La Raza. She has received many honors including, most recently, an award from the National Association of Women Lawyers.

I can't find anything that says she still a member, and I wonder if being part of the Association of Women Lawyers makes her sexist and out to acheive a society who's laws favor women also?

Robodoon, good post. Both of those organizations are pretty radical. Anyone still think she's not an activist judge?

so what we have here is a nomonie that is
racist, against the second amendment, member of a radical hispanic group, says she can make better decisions than a whitey male, and is so far to the left she won't even make a right turn..
sounds like Obama made a good choice to further his ambitions .

Actually, can't really say anything about the other stuff you mentioned Wing, but she doesn't seem as left wing as I thought he would pick.
