After all, the free press is just as much an American institution as the presidency.

A journalist brought Epstein to justice and Acosta's resignation — so stop demonizing the press

President Trump has called the press “the enemy” of the American people, accused the New York Times of “treason” and praised a congressman from Montana for physically assaulting a journalist. One-quarter of Americans now agree that “the president should have the authority to close news outlets engaged in bad behavior.”

Julie K. Brown, an investigative journalist for the Miami Herald, just reminded us why Trump’s attempts to intimidate and delegitimize the press are so dangerous. Brown broke the behind-the-scenes story of the disgraceful plea deal that Alexander Acosta, then the U.S. attorney in Miami, secretly negotiated with attorneys for sex-ring trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Brown started a firestorm that re-opened the Epstein caseand, today, forced Acosta to resign as secretary of Labor.

Thing is, the Lamestream press has been nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Democrat party for decades! Especially since Cronkite's "opinion" on Vietnam. They've NEVER been friendly to Republicans/Conservatives. So a POTUS who is willing to take them head on is a good thing.

Good luck with that, the right hates the mainstream media, it exposes their lies and fake news to daylight. They absolutely despise fact checker sites and embeace adoringly such sites as InfoWars, and Weasel Zippers.
What lies? You think the DemocRAT party is clean and pure? As I stated, the Lamestream media is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Left. Thank the Lord that Reagan was wise enough to kill the "Fairness" Doctrine which effectively monopolized the media.

Awww poor bullied press, wont someone make people stop criticizing the poor victims...
This is a problem whether it's Trump's overt anti-press attitudes or Obama's much more covert approach. Seizing journalists’ records: An outrage that Obama ‘normalized’ for Trump
