Battle of the Bulge movie was ruined for my by their use of Americn Patton tanks with no attempt to disguise them as German.
The tanks were the stars or the movie for god sakes!
In all fairness finding enough props for the scenes isn't easy to do with authentic equipment. many viewers are likely clueless about a Panther and a T34

Ever noticed on many of the war documentaries , the same war scenes get used over & over. Some not even relevant to the topic.

Movies made today seem to want to try to be more accurate in this way. The WW2 movies that came out after WW2 didn't seem quite so concerned with such accuracy.

Battle of the Bulge, Telly Savalis:

M47

In Kelly's Heroes, its a T34 but its at least disguised relatively well

And saving private ryan

A T34/85 converted for the movie
Saving Private Ryan from what I remember seemed fairly realistic.

A little cardboard and paint would have been worth the effort.
The tank was the star of the movie.

the T-34 was more potent than the Sherman but able to gun fight a Panther. It, like a Sherman, was cheap to mass produce. We EVENTUALLY, had Firefly, a Sherman with a useful gun.. and very late..Pershings. Our guys COULD kill a Panther or Tiger.. but we lose 4-8 Shermans to do that. NOT fun for the guys cooked in the killed Shermans.
The M4 Sherman has gotten a bad rep which imo is undeserved. For instance, take this engagement between Shermans and Panthers during the Battle of Arracourt (largest tank battle between Germany and USA iirc)..
