We ended up paying less. But thats mostly because we dont itemize and the standard deduction was doubled. We also live in NH so that helped a lot. Our friends that work up here but live in MA ended up paying more. They referred to the tax cuts as "blue state punishment."

I paid rather than getting a refund but overall I paid less both dollar-wise and rate-wise though my income increased.

I do have to admit that not getting those thousands at the end of the year is a difficult adjustment.

that was always my gift to myself money.

Kind of like how you can buy yourself a present whenever you want but it's just different if you get one wrapped up under the tree.

I own businesses that (some) are run out of my basement so I didn't see a return, but I sure paid less on A15 (February 15th because I'm responsible).
My property tax went up .46 this year (those motherfuckers).
