The Barr cover-up: Trump was not exonerated, and anyone claiming otherwise is a liar or a dupe

One tax statement shows nothing with regard to any overall picture of practices, it also showed how much in taxes he avoided paying by write offs as LOSSES, under a tax system he has claimed to be all wrong.

Trump and Trump supporters should know this better than anyone, considering how many years he harassed his predecessor with the "birther issue". First about the prima face form of Obama's proof of birth, then even AFTER publication of the long form. So please spare us the BS.

In addition, the video was not about being "back on taxes", but how Trump essentially lies about things like saying he would release his taxes. His MO of making promises to do something then saying the opposite, apparently thinking no one notices.

Everyone, INCLUDING Mitt Romney who was also criticized about releasing his taxes, can see Trump's MO.

For Trump, we do have the first two pages of his 2005 return, which were leaked and then released by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in March 2017. Those summary pages show Trump paid $38 million in federal income taxes on $150 million of reported income. But the full return would show more information, including deductions and how the president’s businesses are structured for tax purposes.

If people have nothing to hide financially and they want to run for public office making public decisions that financially affect all, should release of tax filings, not be a part of demonstrating their transparency? No one is forcing them to run for public office. They don't have to be a lifetime of tax returns, but more recent ones and enough of them to show both something in proximity of time to when one is running. but also to avoid their picking one return that avoids showing what four others, might, with regard to a pattern.

This would apply to all candidates, regardless of political party (Bernie, that means you. too)

Look, this is just grasping at straws. The democrats should finally just drop the irrational hatred and start planning on a winning agenda that will be better than what Trump is pushing towards.

It's failed for 2 years, will fail for 2 more years, and then you get 4 years of 'lame duck' Trump.

How many years have neo-republicans shown "irrational hatred" for the Clintons? How many years have they "failed"????

Your contentions are a joke, especially when taken in comparison to the STILL ongoing "hatred" of the Clintons , with continued failed attempts to blame them for and nail them on something!!!

Not irrational hatred, the hatred is how there can be so much evidence and they are allowed to violate laws with impunity.

That's not going to help democrats regardless.

That battle is over. They need to be focused on the future, NOT trying to minimize the loss through obstruction and investigations into even the most mundane details trying to find a crime.

What the democrats are doing is generally perceived as petty, the lack of vision or strong leadership while focused on an 'anti' agenda is a recipe to guarantee a loss.

Call it what you will, but if the democrats continue down this path, you will never see another democrat president for the next generation. As in, the children of the people turning 18 right now, MIGHT give democrats a chance when they are old enough... THAT is how extensive the damage is, whether or not you realize it yet.

More BS?

We can all see the path and it is the path you and Trump are following, but trying to project (being only successful with people who lack half a brain) onto an opposition party.

This is Trump's MO, the ole "I am rubber, you are glue, anything you say about me, bounces off and sticks to you".......elementary school level "offense/defense...... EVERYONE can play that game.

Intelligent people will investigate to see who's REALLY, doing what.

I'm not engaged in projection, I'm engaged in giving advice to the democrats.

That advice is simple; it is far better for the long term of the party that they give up on this impeachment push, that has no legs to stand on, and actually try to find the common ground where they can try to reasonably influence. The route the democrat party is going is straight towards their own destruction.

Don't forget, I have no dog in which party takes power, I can see the writing on the wall.
