Well, Trump has committed obviously impeachable offenses and they are doing their duty. I'm proud of them for that.

Your people wanted him impeached about the time he was sworn in. That is not doing their duty. it's a butt hurt childish petulant party. The coup was on.

Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a "coup has started" and that "impeachment will follow ultimately."
Then, in July 2017, Zaid remarked, "I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president." Also that month, Zaid tweeted, "We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters."

A few members of the House expressed that when Trump was elected but the vast majority did nothing of the sort and certainly not the leadership. The investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Russia began before the election. How could that be part of a coup?

And as has been explained to you repeatedly, an impeachment is not a coup. Look up the two words. They have different meanings.

Getting him out of office is: 25th amendment movement. , Mueller, now this. CNN complicit in that goal.

I just love this "coup" talking point against the idiot in chief Trump. It has been truly fascinating to watch all the genuflecting by Trump and HIS groupies. Talk about thin-skinned snowflakes. :)

The only people who appear to have discussed the 25th amendment in relation to Trump were members of his own administration. Not Democrats.

The fact that the intel community determined that Russia was interfering in the 2016 election and it was found that the Trump campaign had a couple of hundred contacts with Russia during that time should have just been ignored? That should not have been investigated?

The fact that there are at least 10 instances where Trump tried to obstruct those investigations should be ignored?

And CNN shouldn't report on any of that?

Ask Mark Zaid.

Mark Zaid is a private attorney. He is not an elected official.

There’s nothing fun about this. This is terrible and our democracy may not survive because Republicans know Trump is a criminal and they don’t care. At least when Nixon was impeached, there were enough decent Republicans to do the right thing. Here, the entire GOP is corrupt to its very core.
Gloat if you want, but that is a pretty unpatriotic response to what’s happening in DC right now.
I agree that there is nothing fun about this. Gloating and cheering this process on is close to the equivalent of blindly defending all of Trump's actions across the board. It's a sad but necessary process.
