This is why you will see unrenlentless attacks from the Left and the fake news MSM on the Attorney General.

They know he is going to now investigate the investigators.

Sensible people recognize that the reason Trump is pushing to "investigate the investigators" and not cooperate with the House on anything is because this thing is still very much alive and that the president's reputation as a probable criminal — even among voters who do not favor impeachment — is solidified in the eyes of most Americans.

So, at the least up to the point of actually impeaching him, this thing has all the political capital it needs. The Democrats ran on restraining Trump's worst policy impulses and holding Trump to account, they won the election in many Republican-leaning districts on that message, and they will successfully campaign on this work today.

You and Lyin' Lindsey, whose assessment of the situation has been invalid for years and is based entirely on political expediency:

can scream invective toward those making it happen, declare it "over" as much as you want. That has no practical effect on any actual events. Honest people on this forum, people who deserve to be taken seriously of all political stripes, will continue to engage with and debate the actual facts and merits of those events as they occur.

What ever day dream fantasy you want to believe is just fine with me.

But, the witch hunt is done and soon real indictmsnts with real evidence with start flying.

One only needs to look at how much the Democrats are freaking out over what Barr said to know he has stuck a nerve.

Stay tuned.....

It's about the get real.

If it's still alive then what did you need Mueller for in the first place?

That's exactly what AG Barr stated in the video above about all the "extra" investigations Mueller went on.

Why .....

If in the end they were all nothing.

Federal indictments require the approval of a grand jury in the jurisdiction in which they occurred.

A U.S. attorney must arrange for such indictments, and the jury must sign off. A U.S. attorney cannot be ordered to do this.

I'll stake my reputation on this right now: No Democrat currently in office or who has served in elected office, or via a Senate-confirmed appointment, within the last five years will be indicted prior to 2021 for any reason directly related to the Russia investigation. None. It's not going to happen. The system is built against that kind of bullshit.

Only exhaustive work by Mueller produced the number of convictions that he did. Even the indictments were a big haul. And the facts were there.

It's not happening John. We will be here two years from now and it will not have come to pass. You are wish-casting in the extreme.

Meanwhile, the serious work will continue. I don't know what will come of it, but I'm increasingly optimistic.

Mueller brought pressure onto key witnesses that the Democrats can't match, and couldn't attempt to match until Jan. 3, 2019.
And came to no conclusions on guilt.

Is Congress going to interview all these people again or go with Mueller's findings and, in your opinion, come to a different conclusion?

If so you are saying that Mueller didn't do his job properly.

Is that what you are saying?
