They Wanted to Raise $1,500 for Immigrant Families at the Border. They Got Over $10 Million.
By Julia Jacobs

"It all started with a viral photo of a toddler crying as her mother was detained at the border."
"On Saturday morning, they started a Facebook fund-raising page for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, or Raices, a nonprofit organization that provides low-cost legal defense services to immigrant and refugee families in Texas. The Willners set a modest goal of $1,500."
"It has since garnered more than $10 million from more than 250,000 people, stunning the staff at Raices."

That HAS to be God moving in that little girl's life as well as the rest of the immigrant children and their parents! WOW! Ten Million Dollars for them! Isn't that just Wonderful!!

It's that type of showing of support that renews one's faith in humanity when people reach out to help strangers after being moved by the stories they hear about and the pictures they see of the immigrant children and their parents. Little did that little girl in red know or realize that she was going to be the main focus for raising so much money for the cause!

May God Continue To Bless ALL of the Immigrant Children and Their Parents and Those Who Have Donated So Much Money To Their Most Worthwhile Cause! Be sure to read this wonderful report!

It's exceeded $15 million now. I'm concerned that such a huge sum of money will create problems as well as solve them.

It's not hard to imagine a few contentious lawsuits inspired by greed, embezzlement, etc.

Mmm, from the link

On Saturday morning, they started a Facebook fund-raising page for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, or Raices, a nonprofit organization that provides low-cost legal defense services to immigrant and refugee families in Texas. The Willners set a modest goal of $1,500.

This is wonderful news!! I know there are so many good people in this country.

Many times there ARE problems.

Hopefully all the money will go to the families.

It would not be surprising to learn that some goes in peoples pockets.

In fact it would be more surprising if none of it gets skimmed/scammed/outright stolen.

But, hopefully some of the money is used the way it was intended.

Yes, all charities are rated based on how much of their money actually makes it to the intended target. With any luck this one will get a rating along the lines of the Clinton foundation which is right there at the top.

You consider this to be a formal charity?

The right holds the Trump Foundation up as their standard of quality charity work....
