This should be obvious if you understand the Constitution

The White House’s blanket stonewalling of the House impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump isn’t just deeply troubling or further indirect evidence of the president’s underlying abuse of public power for private gain. It signals another clear ground for his impeachment: obstruction of Congress.

Article III of the Nixon articles of impeachment provides the closest precedent to what Trump did here: He directed the State Department to prevent Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, from testifying about what his texts revealed to corroborate the whistleblower complaint about a scheme to withhold military aid in order to extort Ukraine into meddling in the 2020 election. The White House counsel followed up by telling House leaders there would be no cooperation with an inquiry he called illegitimate and unfair.

The House Judiciary Committee in 1974 identified President Richard Nixon’s direction of systematic defiance of congressional impeachment inquiries by his administration as an obstruction of the constitutional role of Congress and thus a violation of the president’s duty faithfully to execute the laws. Such a charge is manifestly warranted against Trump today.

More than anything I think the public is getting tired of Trump and it's showing in the polls that more people are in favor of Impeaching Trump. The Trumpets will continue to deny. Sadly, Trump will always have his 35% base.

Getting away from the obvious fight with the House just look at what he's done. He panicked and pulled Troops out of Syria. People will die and ISIS could resurface. This was a vile Dictator move to either change the conversation or please Putin. Who knows what they said behind closed doors.

This thing is moving fast. Just give it a few weeks.

First of all there is no impeachment inquiry because the full house never voted to have one.

How do you obstruct something that doesn't exist?

Secondly, with no inquiry then nobody is compelled to testify.

What part of this don't you guys get?

Fake news strikes again. And it appears from Byron York reporting that Pelosi has no interest in taking this to court to enforce the [joke] subpoenas.

Gotta love too the misinformation about Watergate that the left keeps spinning in regards this farce the Dims are working on.

She can't because she has no legal standing to do so without a formal inquiry. Right now it's just a bunch of people asking around about stuff. She is not queen and cannot declare an official inquiry by herself, that is the role of the entire house. She won't do that because it entitles Trump access to all information, to cross examine testimony, and to call his own witnesses.

She knows that would sink this farce of hers. She wants only democrats to question people in private and not give any republicans any access to it.

This is so going to backfire on her.

Seriously, she could call for a vote to make it official and it would be over with in 20 minutes then she would have the power to force anyone to come in under subpoena. The fact the left isn't even curious about why she isn't doing this is astounding to me.

Sadly, i fear it doesn't matter how fast it'll move.. the GOP is to cowardly and power-ridden as to have an actual opinion and conscience anymore. So the Senate will vote the impeachment down, and that'll be it.

hopefully the electorate in 2020 will finish the job the Senate will not have done.

The WH needs a comedy writer to lighten up the atmosphere of impeachment. You should apply. I'm sure the pay is in greenbacks and not salt.

Byron York reported HIS opinion and nothing more. Where are his facts to back up his opinion.

Apparently Trump Attorney’s never took a civics class!

And now the famous Prosecutor of Hillary Clinton who ranted and raved that records HAVE to be turned over to Congress is now going to explain why records should never be turned over to Congress!:winktongue::p:rolleyes:
