Thousands Of Illegal Aliens Arrested For Violent Crimes Were Granted DACA Protections

Now, this isn’t new. There have been stories of DACA recipients losing protections due to criminal activity. Yet, the tricky thing here is that arrests alone don’t bar someone from being enrolled in the program, only convictions. Yet, you’d think that someone arrested for murder, child porn, assault, battery, or rape wouldn’t get green lit by the system. Apparently, even on those vicious crimes, it’s possible for illegals to be shielded from deportation.

The violence levels in Latin America, the rule of law means nothing in many of those nations, and the left wants never-ending millions to keep coming here. Why? The left hates America as founded, and these hordes from the third world are how they will change America. I guess Venezuela is really attractive to the American left.

Last time I looked, this was still the United States of America, which operates under a Constitution. That Constitution insists that all people arrested are innocent until proven guilty. Merely charging someone with a crime isn't cause for denying them some opportunity for which they otherwise would have qualified. The severity of the charge is of no importance.

Sorry that the OP is either unaware of or doesn't believe in our Constitution.

oh the irony...
The US was founded based on illegal immigration.. everyone who founded the nation was an illegal immigrant to begin with... And the nation founded was proud of that, and had it in it's soul, that those hungry, poor, most needy people should get a safe haven in the US, for all eternity to come.

If anything, the left wants exactly that to continue.,. for the US to keep it's promise, and to honor it's legacy.

From the first page:

The following tables provide information on DACA requestors who received an IDENT1 response.
USCIS administrative data and IDENT data were analyzed to determine if a DACA requestor received an IDENT
response, when the IDENT response occurred in relation to an approval or denial of the DACA request, and the
number and types of offenses associated with an arrest or apprehension of a DACA requestor. An IDENT
response indicates that an individual, in this case a DACA requestor, was arrested or apprehended for a criminal
offense or an immigration-related civil offense. These tables only analyze arrests and apprehensions, as not all
IDENT responses include disposition of the arrest or apprehension such as conviction, acquittal, dismissal or
lessening of charges.2 These tables present data on DACA requestors from 2012 to 2018
.
I quickly counted a little less than a thousand involved in "violent crimes". We have no idea what the disposition was in those cases; or any of them for that matter.

Also from the notes:

1 The Automated Biometric Identification System (IDENT) is the central DHS-wide system for storage and processing of
biometric and associated biographic information for national security; law enforcement; immigration and border
management; intelligence; background investigations for national security positions and certain positions of public trust;
and associated testing, training, management reporting, planning and analysis, or other administrative uses. For the
purposes of this analysis, IDENT provided electronic information from the requestor’s Record of Arrest and Prosecutions
(RAP) sheet, where one was available.
2 Under long-standing DACA guidelines, not all convictions or arrests will necessarily result in a denial or termination,
unless, as a matter of its discretion, USCIS determines that DACA is not warranted due to public safety, national security, or
other discretionary factors on a case-by-case basis. However, pursuant to the DACA guidelines, an individual may request
consideration for DACA if, among other things, he or she has not been convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or
three or more non-significant misdemeanors. Please see the DACA guidelines archived on the USCIS website at
https://www.uscis.gov/archive/consideration-deferred-action-childhood-arrivals-daca.
3 USCIS analyzed of data from the Computer Linked Application Information Management System (CLAIMS 3), Electronic
Immigration System (ELIS), and Customer Profile Management Service (CPMS) databases. CPMS data are as of November
30, 2017; CLAIMS 3 and ELIS data are as of January 31, 2018 and February 1, 2018, respectively.
