"The Trump administration is preparing court filings to begin taking over private land to build its long-promised border wall as early as this week — without confirming how much it will pay landowners first, according to two officials familiar with the process."
"Jared Kushner is hosting a meeting with military and administration officials at the White House this Friday, where they are expected to discuss the U.S. government taking over private land to build more sections of wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, said two officials."

Taking over private land is never a good thing especially when it's not an emergency which building a wall that most Americans do not want isn't. Trump's penchant to cause division and farther division is giving America a black eye and a very bad name. That take-over is quite unfair and needs to be well challenged in court. Many will also remember that in 2020 and give Trump the boot at the polls. We just have to wonder what President Reagan who told Gorbachev to tear down that wall would say seeing how Trump wants to build one right in our own country to divide our closest and friendly neighbor to the South who has also been our trading partner for so long a time?

There are still 60-70 imminent domain battles still going on from the Bush years trying to take border wall property. If Trump does not get reelected, your wall is dead, dead, dead. And if you just lose the Senate, your wall is dead, dead, dead. And if you don't take the House, your wall is dead, dead, dead.

If you owned some of that property, I bet you wouldn't be so cavalier about a government land grab.
Government has always had the right to annex property for the general well being of the country. Attempts to make this look like some new Trump creation are just more TDS symptoms on display.

Which is why we need to win win win and democrats are helping ensure that happens with these constant attempts to undo an election they never accepted instead of doing their job.

The people who had land under the U.S interstate system probably were not thrilled either. How about the people who now have land under water due to federal hydro dam reservoirs ?
