Where he was promptly arrested on a car theft warrant.

Chris Grant was shot twice during the El Paso Walmart massacre. Trump repeated Grant's claim that he threw bottles at the shooter to distract him from aiming at other shoppers and praised him as a hero.
El Paso Police said that a review of video footage showed that Grant "did not take any action towards the shooter" and said that nobody from the White House had tried to verify Grant's story.

Grant's mother accepted Trump's praise on Chris' behalf, after he had been arrested by the USSS.

He Was Wounded in the El Paso Shooting and Lauded for His Bravery. Now Police Say His Heroic Story Isn't True

Will there be some fake cake and ice cream, and maybe some fake punch?

Then maybe the fake news media could make a fake report, eh...

Sounds like quite a number of people/agencies were misled by the guy.

Never know what goes through someone's mind after experiencing a mass shooting event first hand (and Grant was apparently shot twice in the chest). Sort of blessed to have survived.

it is a little ironic.. yet stupid as well.

For someone who's a fugitive on a - assumingly - federal warrant, to be in a mass shooting, maybe don't make up a hero story... and if you do and get invited to the White House, maybe politely decline, do NOT walk into a high security area stacked from basement to the roof with Law Enforcement...

But then.. crooks are attracted by other crooks, so probably the guy just couldn't resist to meet the Donald ?
