Backing out of another obligation.

If anyone else did this this much they'd amass a bunch of black eyes.

(CNN)President Donald Trump, in response to Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren's DNA test results released Monday morning, said he "didn't say" that he would pay $1 million to Warren.
"Who cares?" Trump said when asked about the DNA test. When pressed on the once-promised $1 million payment, Trump responded: "I didn't say that. You better read it again."
At a rally in July, Trump said: "And we will say, 'I will give you a million dollars, paid for by Trump, to your favorite charity if you take the test and it shows you're an Indian ... we'll see what she does. I have a feeling she will say no but we will hold it for the debates."

What a fucking weasel.
He IS right about one thing. His fanatic supporters just don't care that he is a lying weasel.

Does this mean he is a lying scumbag who never intended to give $1 million to charity as promised, or that he doesn't have $1 million in cash to give away?

Especially as Trump Org hotel and golf course bookings have collapsed in some markets, there's reasons to believe Trump has tons of property he can't readily liquidate, a brick shithouse full of debt and very little cash on hand. And, this is why he and his family are so afraid of releasing his tax returns, because they would reveal A) How much he owes and to whom and B) That he's dependent on payments from "certain clients" to stay afloat financially.

Lots to ponder here...

Trump's supporters don't care. He had their total lack of character pegged long ago, when he pointed out he could shoot someone and not lose their support.

I wish people would open their minds a little here. Yes, Trump retains high levels of support among those who self-identify as Republicans.

That doesn't mean, by any stretch of the imagination, that he hasn't deeply alienated a lot of people who voted for him.

I'm judging by polls. His approval polls hardly ever budge, no matter what happens. Currently, according to the weekly Gallup approval rating poll, he's at 43%..... almost exactly where he started in his first week (45%). During all the time in between, the numbers have moved just ten points, top to bottom. With a margin of error of plus or minus 3%, a poll result of 43% and 37% is statistically identical to 40%, and very nearly his entire time has been within that six-point range. Nothing he does matters much to that minority core of supporters.

In fact, what little pattern I can see in his approval numbers is the opposite of what one would expect if his supporters were decent people. If they had souls, one would expect his numbers to rise when he managed to go a whole week without some fresh outrage, then to fall when he, say, attacks an alleged sexual assault survivor, or has children locked up in cages, or his lawyer implicates him in a campaign finance violation to cover up his tryst with a porn star, or some new revelation about his dark dies with Russia comes forward. But the opposite is the case. His best numbers tend to come directly after something like the Kavanaugh hearing, as the monsters get jazzed up by his awfulness, and then his numbers subside when he hasn't done anything particularly horrible for a while.

It'd be nice of they'd ADMIT it.
