Vegas, a symbol of all that is wrong in this country

To start, the what is wrong that I'm talking about is corporate greed and gluttony.

Was recently in Vegas, and could not stop thinking that Vegas is the epitome of American gluttony and greed. In the middle of a desert and have all these fountains, using tons of electricity. The casinos are so damn greedy. One thing that I found to be absurd is there were no water fountains in the casinos. Really, can't keep your patrions hydrated, force them to purchase your over priced water. The buffets are just absurd how much food they have and how much they throw away. Meanwhile so many people starving around the world

Everything about it is like how everything has become in this country. Corporations sucking every last penny out of people.

GI went there to see a band play and I stayed in Old Vegas and only was on the Strip for the shows. Not sure if I will ever go back, plenty of better places to go.

Hey now, what's more American that greed and gluttony?

yeah. Lived in Vegas for a couple of years working in casinos. It was like living in a Frank Sinatra movie or something. With everyone trying to act like gangsters. Their mannerism , the way they talked, etc. Went to traffic court once and the intro video to court was presented by Wayne Newton. LMAO.

I find Vegas tiresome after a day or two. That being said, enough people love it to keep it afloat, so who am I to pass judgment. To each their own.

I'm not saying I didn't have fun. The most annoying thing is how greedy the casinos are
And you expected them to NOT be greedy?

What did you think a casino is, anyway?

Some casinos have very reasonably priced rooms.

Anything you spend above that is voluntary.

Vegas is good for a few days every once in a while.

They have everything, including kids themed casino/hotels.

Don't know if I'd want to live there...

Vegas is now one of the best restaurant cities in America. I go there on expense accounts and enjoy the fine dining. It is no longer the place I grew up with though as you mentioned. If you think its bad now, wait until the Raiders get there.
