President Trump and the White House's spring 2018 intern class on March 26. (Shealah Craighead/White House)

The latest class of White House interns is a reminder that diversity in government isn’t an issue only at senior levels; it starts at the bottom.
The White House released a photo Friday of its spring 2018 interns — and the Internet quickly noted a lack of people of color.

Well, at least no one is throwing up a white power hand sign this time....
At first I was surprised there are so many women interns at the Trump White House, then I remembered Trump's penchant for grabbing women's genitals, and so it makes sense.

That actually is an unbelievably white slice of people.

I think most family photos have more diversity than that.

At least there was one black woman in there... But the criticism is atypically justified.

Yeah. There’s a black guy. In a country where 1 out of 7 people is at least half black, and 1 out of 9 is black. There’s also seemingly no Asians, no native Indians, no South Asians, no Hawaiians...

It’s creepy.

It reminds me of Ottawa (shudder)
