Balancing lawful shooter convenience vs public danger, what is your opinion of how many rounds per minute is a fair compromise including reloading?

Max 100 RPM? A M16 does some 800 rpm. I'm thinking rpm doesn't have much to do with school shootings unless your comparing a modern firearm with a musket.

I would say 1 round in a minute is plenty to bring down a wild animal for food. Anything more than that is just a waste of lead and powder.

Banning assault rifles is going to do nothing to prevent gun violence. Knives kill more people every year in this country than these weapons do.

I'm also not impressed by the argument it will somehow prevent mass shootings either. There are so many illegal guns on our streets and our border security is such a joke the only thing this ban on assault rifles would do is make a few gun smugglers richer. No mass murderer is going to give a shit about the law.

I wish we would get serious about this problem instead of just repeating this same inane nonsense. This country already had an assault rifle ban and it predictably did nothing. This is not a solution to anything so liberal democrats need to stop acting like it is.
