Perhaps republicans would have more luck attracting minorities if they had something positive to offer rather than telling them how bad democrats are.
Ms. Labrea,

True, republicans only offer self reliance, responsibilities for one's actions, a work ethic, and positive outlook. I can see why they flock to democrats who only tell them somebody else is the blame for their situations.

Conservatives also tell humans going through a rough patch, as many did during the Great Recession, that they are losers - responsible for their bad luck because they are lazy, make bad decisions, are moral failures (trump proves lacking a moral compass is actually an asset in business), etc. In effect, conservatives beat up those already suffering.

(When has the donald ever taken responsibility for his actions? Isnt he out on the perpetual campaign trail telling his followers that illegal immigrants are responsible for their ills, and only he knows how to fix it?)

The researchers speculate that losers are more likely to kill themselves in the individualistic, “winner-takes-all” societies favoured by right wing governments, because they are left to fend for themselves. Wide disparities in wealth also sharpen any sense of hopelessness, the researchers argue.

“If you fail under that ideology, it would accentuate your feelings of failure,” says Mary Shaw, whose team at the University of Bristol analysed suicide trends in England and Wales over the past century.

Left wing governments tend to be more “inclusive” and community based, she says, decreasing the isolation felt by people down on their luck.

Right-wing governments ‘increase suicide rates’

Actually Republicans generally don't practice what they preach, but they DO give us great examples of what a hyprocrite is. And Trump who tends to blame all his faults on others is the bestest example evah!!!

Ms. Labrea,

What color is the sky in that fantasy world of yours?

Conservatives give people a hand up, not a hand out.

Lets' see some examples since I already gave you Trump.

Like how they make it easier for the average US citizen to vote?
Ms. Panzareta,

Trump is not now and never has been a conservative. In fact, for most of his life, he spouted liberal philosophy.

And how do you make one of the easiest civic thing to do easier? See, you misunderstand. Conservative want to make it hard for illegals and illegal voters to vote.

Are you saying the average US citizen is an illegal?

And by what age must a person first embrace conservatism in order to truly be counted as one?

Actually no, it is based upon factual evidence. Are you aware of the demographics of the Republican Party and the Democratic Party? Denying reality is a choice, facts are not opinions.
Facts are like opinions they are subject to change with the advent of new data. Empirical evidence is often mistaken for facts yet retains the association to evidence.
In our discussion we can make the empirical observation of the data regarding the demographics of either party and mistakenly assume that a party is, in an ideological manner, less inclusive. One has to consider the extenuating circumstances by which this conclusion has come about. For example, ideological indoctrination of malleable minds through the public education system can yield data which expresses an out come that does not reflect the untainted views of individuals who make up a demographic. I will agree that your facts are facts if they include the manner in which they are derived. Providing us with a greater understanding of the data.
